Bottom Line: Vitigliano is a gorgeous, small, modern and well-appointed villa that will be your oasis in Tuscany, and the staff will make you feel well taken care of.||||Longer Review: ||||Villa Vitigliano is a quiet, secluded villa with a small number of rooms and expansive views. This creates a very peaceful, serene atmosphere at the property. The hotel is not a property where you will have any number of staff waiting on your every whim, but you will be treated by friendly staff who will know you by name and preferences and ensure you feel taken care of and pampered. ||||The food was truly some of the best we had in our two weeks in Italy, surpassing Michelin restaurants in quality and variety. We looked forward to every meal at the hotel. As one reviewer pointed out, don’t bother searching for the best restaurants in Chianti - at Vitigliano, you are already there. ||||The setting is in the rolling hills of Chianti, near the charming, non-touristic town of Greve. The rooms are dripping in historical charm, but are well-appointed with modern furniture and decor. It felt very chic. We didn’t have a chance to use the pool, but it looked very inviting. ||||The villa is less than an hour from a number of popular destinations (San Gimigiano, Florence, Siena, etc), but the setting is so beautiful, the staff so attentive and caring, you may not want to leave. ||||P.S. We held a private wedding ceremony at the site, just the two of us. Marion, Mariangela and the rest of the staff truly went above and beyond taking care of us. We felt like Marion was a mother who cleared the path of any obstacles, Mariangela was a beloved sister who looked after every detail on our wedding day, and Nishant like a brother helping with the finer details. Oh, and the food was like having a world class chef treat us...
Read moreI can't say enough about how great our week at Vitigliano was. From the second you arrive; you know you are in for a treat. Michele (also the amazing spa therapist and local expert on where to go in the area) met our group, and we chose our rooms. They are all spectacular, don't forget you are in a 1000-year-old property that has been perfectly renovated. The views all around are breathtaking. ||We weren't sure what to expect in the way of service and food but as soon as we were introduced to the amazing Nishan and Chef Simon, our minds were at ease. We had dinner there every night, always something different and always great. Not to mention the extensive wine list from Cavalli. Don't bother going out for dinner, you won't find anything better and more fun than the setup they provide. Great breakfast and lunch too!||We made a few day trips close by but mainly stayed here because it's so awesome. The owner Marion took great care of us, making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. ||I could go on and on. Just go here, you won't regret it. Thank you Vitigliano for a...
Read moreWe hosted a celebration with family and friends at this spectacular property with unmatched vistas of the Tuscan countryside. The 1000 year-old restored property is full of old world charm, but also complete with modern amenities for the height of luxury, comfort and convenience. Every corner of the place is thoughtfully and beautifully appointed. But what makes Vitigliano stand apart is the service. The on-site staff includes a wonderful hostess, chef, valet and housekeeping staff. This expert team is warm, welcoming, competent, helpful and utterly professional. They made our stay there an unforgettable and delightful experience. We highly recommend Vitigliano and hope to return.||||Nine rooms and proximity to Florence, Sienna and environs make this an ideal location for a family and friends gathering.
