This place is not as advertised. I do not recommend. Location: Very far away from Rome city center. There is NOTHING in the area except a gas station and a public pool. It’s dirty and run down: There were so many ants on the patio, we could not sit out on the patio. When we checked in , there were hairs in the bathtub and on the “clean” sheets. Rooms are dark, dreary and very outdated. The chair in the living room was ripped. The plastic patio furniture was very dirty and not cleaned. Food was horrible. We had to pay half board (50 Euro per day) for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was the exact same breakfast every day. One hot drink, same bread and cold cuts, and danishes. If you got to breakfast towards the end, you were left with what was left. You need to get to breakfast early to get the full selection. Dinner was a pre- fix menu. The real menu was extra. No wine included. Food was very very salty and the veggies appeared to be frozen boiled vegetables. No amenities: The pool has been under renovations for 2 years now. The hotel bar is closed all the time. There is absolutely nothing to do at this resort. Extra fees: You have to pay 30 Euro upon arrival for cleaning. You can pay 40 euro to get a cheaper daily shuttle to Rome. The shuttle fees are between 5-10 Euro each way. The shuttle leaves the resort at 9am and pick up is at 7 pm. If you don’t take the shuttle then you have to pay for a cab.
Waste of money and Very far from Rome city center. Do...
Read moreThe Caprediem is a beautiful hotel and resort to stay at during your visit in Rome. The rooms are nicely decorated and the two-story, three bedroom apartment easily accommodates larger families. The rooms are clean and very nice! Also come with enough to satisfy your housing needs during your stay vacation. With a designated shuttle to take you to the nearest metro station you’ll find yourself enjoying the metro and grateful for Rome’s public transportation. The service here is helpful and very kind! The receptionist was superb, and the restaurant located across the street is a great stop for food. However, if you travel here during the summer months prepare to sweat. They do NOT have a good AC system. It is turned OFF during the hot summer days which can heat your room to very uncomfortable temperatures, and will find yourself sweating. Along with the underwhelming AC, it takes a while for the room to cool. This is a major issue as many tourists may come from other countries with AC or cooler weather will find it extremely hard to stay here during the summer months, which is when many tourists come to Rome. I highly recommend the Caprediem during the cooler months and parts of the year, but other may find it hard to stay here in the hot Italian weather along with the weak AC. Overall, The Caprediem is an amazing resort to house your family during your vacation to Rome during the...
Read moreWe spent wonderful days in Italy, and the staff at Hotel Carpedien certainly made all the difference in our trip. The hotel has a friendly staff, always willing to serve you better. I couldn't help but give special mention to the restaurant and staff. We were truly impressed! The hotel offers a wonderful breakfast and dinner service, with menus that vary daily, both traditional and simply delicious. Chef Maximiliano, whom we made a point of meeting, gave us the opportunity to enhance our days in Italy, and his waiter, Andrea, made our evenings even more enjoyable, always serving us with kindness and amiability. The restaurant offers two daily menu options, including a starter, main course, and dessert. Both options are always wonderful, making it difficult to choose! I can safely say that returning to the hotel after a day of sightseeing in Rome and being able to enjoy this service made our day complete and our experience much better; after all, food in Italy is also a major...
