We stayed here for 3 nights in September. It is isolated and you would need a car to access it, but it is very secure with good parking available. Florence is about a twenty minute drive away and quaint Tuscan towns and villages lie scattered around the surrounding countryside, with Impruneta nearby offering a selection of restaurants.||This accommodation is a beautiful, quiet farm amidst the rolling Tuscan olive groves and vineyards. The building itself is attractive and furnished with traditional Italian antiques. There is a small terraced area and garden where you can sit among the olive trees and relax overlooking the beautiful views.||Stefano, the host, is a lovely, mild-mannered gentleman who went above and beyond at every opportunity, even making an early breakfast for us on the last day so we could make our tour in time. His email communication and advice was very quick and invaluable.||The breakfast is fabulous! Some cereals, a bowl of fresh fruit, Italian breads with homemade marmalades and chutneys, cold cuts and cheese, bruschetta and a selection of tasty biscuits and cakes.||Our room was large and the bathroom was a good size. Shower gel was provided. The air conditioning worked brilliantly and the room was spotlessly clean, with daily housekeeping.||As we left we bought some of the homemade olive oil and can’t wait to try it out at home... and perhaps come back again for a...

The rooms are big and wifi worked perfectly.||The not so good stuff: Kind of hard to locate, even with a GPS system. We drove by it several times because the GPS system was pointing at a wall on the road with no entrance nearby. There is a yellow sign on the road but 8 of us missed it although we passed it several times. Don't use NLife to navigate to it since it takes you through some very (and I mean very tight and) narrow roads where two way traffic can not proceed and you find yourself backing up half of the time trying not to collide at the walls surrounding you, which is no fun in the middle of the night. ||The rooms are on the second floor with no lift. ||The entrance gate is opened via a code to which you need to get out of the car and enter it next to the gate. Other locations had a remote control which made it very easy to enter...
Read moreA dream! Podere Scaluccia is a wonderful family-run agriturismo located on a hill with absolutely stunning views (great exposition to the sunrise), olive trees and vineyards. Its beautiful, spacious and very clean rooms with windows overlooking the Tuscan landscape is what we were dreaming of before visiting Tuscany. The family is very friendly, polite and hard working, always ready to help or give any recommendations. The only bad thing is that one day we had to leave and now can’t stop thinking about coming back!
For the fuller experience, don’t you miss the owner’s olive oils and the wines produced by their neighbours. You can buy it at the reception and enjoy it outside the villa, marvelling at the Tuscan beauty - there are many tables scattered around the villa where you can relax and have a...
