We have just left the agroturismo cerrolungo and the first impression is disappointment.
The menu which is shown on Facebook page isn’t what we get. We ordered menu fiso which supposed to cost 35€ including antipasti, selection of primi piatti, secondi piatti, dolce and beverages. We came and first what we heard is that we came to early and they were planning to start 19.30 - although we made reservation for 19. Then it occurred that wine isn’t included and we had to pay extra 40€ for two bottles of wine which supposed to be organic and very good quality- it wasn’t. The smell of cork was really the what you got. As we expecting the kitchen to start serving the food, the waiter asked us whether we are ready for starters. We said yes. During payment it occurred that this antipasti were not included and were charged 27€ extra. We have to underline that the price list was never presented to us and after payment we didn’t get the receipt although we asked for it. We asked to meet with owner the answer was that she is Genova. The toilet was outside cold and the smell of cigarettes smoked by staff was disgusting. Good that they didn’t charged us for the wood that they put into the fire place while the space was super cold. We were expecting lovely and tasty experience food experience but at the end of the day we feel sad, disappointed and robbed and was our last evening in our new year’s trip to Italy. Instead of paying 105 euros, we were forced to pay over 175 euros for mediocre food...
Read moreThis Agritourismo is just outside La Spezia, I garantie you it is so quiet up there. The room was large and furnished with traditional Italian furniture, with a large ensuite bathroom, where you could get at least 4 into the shower it was so large, bed was large and comfortable and the room service every day was appreciated, remember this is a farm! Dinner was taken on the terrace with beautiful sunsets every night, I am not a great pasta eater but the meals were plentiful and delicious, this was accompanied with the house red wine that is made on the farm, home made tarts were in abondance for dessert, and to end the evening nothing more enjoyable than trying to communicate with the staff whilst tasting the home made Limoncello, and they even have one made from oranges, I now have the recipe from them so I will try my hand at making some. The breakfast taken also on the terrasse was copious and the cakes were excellent, the staff were so cheerful and helped as much as they could to make sure our stay was magical to the last detail. Many thanks to Valeria who is a mind of information and gave us some very interesting advice of where to visit. |If you are looking for authenticity then give this Agritourismo a visit you will not be disappointed |Anthony, Catherine, Laurent, Isabelle ❤️|Holiday on motobikes, which are parked in front of...
Read moreWe absolutely loved this place! Yes, it is not a 5 star hotel but for us, that's not what we were looking for! We were looking for a place that is quiet, where we could find some rest after the busy days in the region that Cinque Terre is! Yes, the rooms are a bit old (which is charming in our eyes) but again, please look at the website or the photos before you book! The food you get there is amazing (again, you won't get a menu card like in a restaurant, the chef comes to you and gives you a few options of what they have - a proof that everything is fresh and homemade), the view from the terrasse you sit and eat is great! My last point: "They don't speak another language" - Our experience is that some do, some don't! BUT what you have to do is to just try a few words in Italian, show some interest in what they do and in their culture (they make their own wines, olive oils, honey...) and they are the most lovely people! Respect them and they respect you in so many ways, we ended up sitting there in the evening, speaking with our hands and feet but we understood each other and it was amazing! All you have to do is to be a bit open and respectful and they give you all they can! We left there with big hugs and tears in our eyes - Vasi and Nonna you are...
