Hotel U 'Piddu Club — Hotel in Lampedusa e Linosa

We stayed here for 6 nights and we choose for Hotel U'Piddu based on good reviews we got from family members. Stay: end of May - beginning of June 2014. ||||If you plan to visit Lampedusa, make sure you have the possibility to see the different amazing beaches via the Caribbean-like sea. Hotel U'Piddu offers you this opportunity as you get, included in the price, every day a motor yacht that brings you to the most beautiful places of the island! And not only this, you get also a delicious 3 courses lunch served on board with fresh and tasty ingredients (be prepared to eat a lot of fish). The crew on board is friendly, funny, helpful and can give you nice details about the island. ||||The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms maybe are not the biggest or most luxury (although everything you need on an island like this is there), but as you spend most of the time on board or on the island, I personally did not have any issues with this. It's comfortable, not deluxe. ||Apart from the rooms, the hotel has several (lounge) terraces to stay of which one on top of the roof that gives you the sun till it goes down and on the other hand a nice view over the port. ||||Normally you have dinner every evening on a big table with all the guest together (at least we had, but maybe also because in the evenings it was still a bit cold, so we ate inside). If you do not like this, you can ask for a separate table of course. Anyway; we really liked to have the dinners like this, as you get to know the people that are staying there as well on a completely different level, than when you are eating separately. ||||All the dinners we had were 3 course meals, which were one day even better than the other! Even if we thought already the first day it could not be better than that, we were surprised every day (and I maybe be Dutch, so Italian food is always a treat even if it's bad, but all the Italian guests were astonished every day as well). Also here be prepared to eat a lot of fish (and I'm not the biggest fish-lover, but I ate (almost) everything with pleasure)! White wine and water all included in the price. ||||All the staff (in the hotel and on board) was unbelievable friendly, helpful, they remembered how you like your coffee in the morning, always available for a talk, no request was too much. U'piddu club is more than an hotel.. It is fantastic concept for holidays that combines the confort of a boutique hotel with the unique experience of discovering the island on board of a private motor-yatch.||Our stay was really great under many points of view, but I would like to highlight three main aspects. 1st the food: dining at Upiddu was like having a gourmet meal every night. Cuisine was based on mediterranean and fresh seafood products and the preparation was extremely accurate and creative. 2nd the daily trip on the Jamaica m/y. Pietro is a great captain and host. Thanks to him we really enjoy Lampedusa main asset: one of the most beatiful sea of the world.. 3rd Upiddu owner and staff. Since they pick-up at the airport we received a fantastic treatment and we feel like at home in every moment. ||Upiddu and, more in general, the island of Lampedusa, has been a great discover for us and we will certainly repeat asap!! Un soggiorno indimenticabile ! All inclusive con barca tutti i giorni. ||Tutto incluso, transfer aeroporto, soggiorno pensione completa, barca con pranzo servito da Andrea, aperitivo e merenda a bordo, aperitivo serale in terrazza preparato da Raffaele. Come in famiglia !|

Dal momento in cui siamo arrivati in aeroporto siamo stati accolto con un sorriso caloroso e un servizio impeccabile fino al rientro sempre con trasfer gestito dall’hotel. 

Camere: Le camere sono spaziose, pulite e arredate con gusto. Il letto era incredibilmente comodo e ho apprezzato molto i piccoli dettagli, come il set di cortesia di alta qualità e la vista mozzafiato dalla finestra.

Servizi: L'hotel offre una vasta gamma di servizi che rendono il soggiorno ancora più piacevole. La barca di 20 metri che tutti i giorni ti porta nelle spiagge più belle dell’isola, perfetta per rilassarsi con ampie zone a poppa e sul fly. 

Ristorazione: La colazione a buffet è semplicemente deliziosa, con una varietà di opzioni per soddisfare tutti i gusti. Il ristorante dell'hotel serve piatti di pesce da grande ristorante 

Posizione: La posizione dell'hotel è ideale, situato nel cuore del paese e a 3’ dal porto dove ti aspetta la barca; vicino alle principali attrazioni turistiche e ai mezzi di trasporto. Se gai bisogno di motorino o auto ci pensa Raffaele. Noi per andare a vedere il tramonta abbiamo pagato il transfer per portarci ad Oh Maaah per prendere aperitivo.

Personale: Il personale è estremamente cortese e disponibile. Raffaele il Maestro di casa e barman incredibile. Pilla la mattina ti serve la colazione con fiori e prelibatezze. Ogni richiesta è stata soddisfatta con professionalità e un sorriso. Ci siamo sentiti veramente coccolati durante tutto il soggiorno.

In conclusione, consiglio vivamente Upiddu a chiunque cerchi un'esperienza di soggiorno indimenticabile. Non vedo...
