Hotel Bella Venezia — Hotel in Latisana

The accommodation has been ok. Room size was not big but ok for a hotel room. Furnishing is a bit "old-style". The glass front of the shower was difficult to move and metal parts partly rusted. Nice and large garden. Breakfast was excellent.||||The hotel charged my credit card twice on Sept. 16th and 22nd but I only booked and stayed one night from Sept. 14th till 15th. They do not refund the unjustified charge which makes me extremely angry. Instead they sent to Booking.com literally a false statement: "On the 20th September he called me and he said me that at 8 pm he would be arrive in my hotel and he make a reservation without booking.com. He didn't arrive and I had free room , that evening I said no at a lot of people because we were full."||||Fact is that I am back in Switzerland since Sept. 17th and started working again on Monday Sept. 20th making it completely unreasonable and illogic that I would have booked a room for another night there. It is more than 600km away from the place where I live and work. All this can be proven but I did not get any proof from Booking or the hotel that a second reservation was made on Sept. 20th which does not exist.||||Given these circumstances I do not recommend the hotel. I would not stay there again. I would not give them my credit card again. I recommend everyone to be extremely careful about this. We found this hotel by accident as we had been driving for hours and needed to stop for the night. It was obviously built in the seventies and the decor doesn't seem to have changed since. This is not a criticism and it is a rather nice look. The staff were very pleasant at check in and the room was very good if a little basic. However, it did have a balcony and it was more than comfortable enough. We didn't eat at the restaurant, which seems to be a separate business, as it was rather grand and a little expensive for our wants. Neither did we have the breakfast as it didn't start until 7.30 and we wanted to be away much earlier than that.
