Fondaco Parrino Mare — Hotel in Letojanni

Our appartment at Fondaco Parrino was fabulous... compact, very clean and well equipped for day to day living. There were lovely touches of old country furniture, charming Sicilian laces and bedlinens gracing modern facilities... essential air conditioning, a well equipped kitchen and good shower room.

The wonderfully spacious terrace, where we ate and relaxed from the day, allowed us to take in the far off shipping and closer to land yachts and boating activity. Sea fishing... divers combing the rocks, their late night activity given away by the brilliant beams of light stretching in to the dark sea. The ever present sound of the water washing up on to the quiet little beach, we frequently had all to ourselves, offering lots of cool during the heat of the day and the wall to wall sunshine.

If you venture to hire a car, there is private parking at the appartments. This is a big plus, considering patrons of a lot of the hotels down the coast are forced to park along the busy road. If you prefer, there is a good bus service, an easy five minute walk from the appartments, taking you up and down the coast to the neighbouring towns and villages of Sant' Alessio, Letojanni, Forza d'Agró, Taormina and Giardini Naxos, all full of restaurants and cafés to suit all sorts of pockets... the quality of the food is excellent. Lots of high and low end shopping (I loved the ceramics) amidst a very rich and diverse culture, a melting pot of Greek... Roman... Sicel... Moor... Norman... Spanish (et cetera) conquests... lots and lots to feast the eye.

Finally, our hosts, Giuseppe and Nunzia (the owners, who live at hand) are wonderfully kind and generous people, who will ensure that your stay at Fondaco Parrino is everything and more.

We absolutely loved the place, have no hesitation in recommending it and will be back to enjoy it all some more, at the next available...

Aufstehen, tägliche Bad im Meer nehmen und dann mit Blick auf selbiges frühstücken. Was will man mehr. Sehr schöne Anlage, wenn auch schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Vermieterin unglaublich herzlich. Alles was nur möglich ist, wird möglich gemacht. Eigene Parkplätze, die nur durch ein verschlossenes Tor erreicht werden können. Für empfindliche deutsche Autofahrer ist die Zufahrt schon etwas anspruchsvoller. Zumindest dann, wenn am Wochenende der große Kiesstrand von anderen Einheimischen bevölkert wird, die natürlich alle mit dem Auto anreisen. Einziges Manko ist die hinter dem Haus verlaufende Bahnlinie. Naja, man kann ja ausschlafen. Trotzdem ist es...

Quartiere del comune di forza d'Agrò una spiaggia incastonata nella roccia con facile accesso ampi parcheggi nelle vicinanze mare pulito.vorrei inoltre informare che non è adatto per famiglie con bambini, in quanto a meno di 100 metri dall'ingresso una piccola parte della spiaggia è spesso utilizzata da nudisti o naturalisti che dir si voglia. Per la verità persone sempre molto discrete che usano fare il bagno nude ma che comunque rimangono sempre in mezzo ad alti scogli Ben riparate dagli sguardi...
