B&B Il Ghiro — Hotel in Levanto

Ilaria was the best host you could imagine! Communicating our time of arrival was super easy and once we arrived we were heartily welcomed. She explained us everything, she prepared a map with all information about tours, places to visit and how to commute in the area. She also gave us a free parking card for the city of Levanto. The room was super clean and very spacious. We found all we needed. The house has also some nice little terraces where we could spend our time. The next days awaited us every day one of the best homemade breakfasts that we ever had in Italy (it is one of our favourite places for holidays, so we have lots of places to compare it with): she prepares fresh fruit salad, muesli, a cheese and salami platter, bakes her own focaccias (Italian bread), makes her own yoghurt, jam and not to forget the salty and sweet cakes. Breakfast is amazing, all homemade, some of the best sweets I’ve tasted in Liguria. The owner is very gentle and kind, providing a lot of useful info, with plenty of tips coming from a local that will make your experience in 5 terre unforgettable (restaurants, trails, boats, itineraries, etc.). The structure is far away from city center, so is mandatory to have a car, but on the other hand the owner will provide you with a card for residents that will allow you to park virtually everywhere. The room is simple but extremely clean. The structure is close to the mountain or a forest (access by asphalt road from levanto city) so if you like nature this place will blend perfectly with your expectations. A nice couple runs this hotel and they do an amazing job! We were welcomed friendly. We got a brief explanation of how our stay works, including the breakfast the following day. Then the couople proceeded to hand us some drinks (on the house) and explain the surrounding area of Levanto and the possible trips we could make to the Cinque Terre. In our stay in Italy we have never had such nice hosts as them. I would hihgly recommend anyone staying in Levanto (or near Cinque Terre) to visit this bed & breakfast, you won't regret it.
