Masseria Corda di Lana Hotel & Resort — Hotel in Leverano

This is a wonderful masseria, it has large sopen grounds, fantastic gardens with two pools ( one for kids and one for adults) and confy sunloungers , rooms are quite generous in space , well equipped and all giving to the central patio with flowers and plants manicured. You can see that who created it put a lot of efforts and quality minded solutions everywhere . Thent this peace of heaven has been abandoned , unfortunately and at least for our experience , in the hands of staff absolutely not at the level , slow, lazy, and inadequate to the location standards .||we arrived at 11 am , and the room was not ready , well no problem we will go to the beach (they have a beach club affiliated to to them )||we left the suitcase in a room and we left .||We came back late afternoon and the packages were still there, we thought they would have at least moved into the room...||we were escorted to the room by a man that was walking so fast (probably he wanted to go back watching football on tv ) that he was at our room when we were still at half the way. Naturally he did not explain anything about the structure. Arriving at the rrom we asked the wireless code...and he said I will print it at the reception (that means you have to come and pick it up) . When later we went back to reception ( he was still watching football) the code was not printed so we even had to wait for it .We moved to the pool, we were the only guests , there is bar there . Nobody asked us if we wish to drink something . I had to go to the bar and order , and naturally taking what ordered back to my table on my own in two turns ( first the glasses, then the drinks)as the barman did not even bother to ask if I need some help||Breakfast , again two persons standing there and except of the hot drinks , they were just standing there as guards pointing where to find the things and doing really little .Quality of food served at breakfast irrilevant, industrial juices, limited selection of obvious fruit ( in a region that has plenty of delicious fruit) and awful coffee||The intention and aspiration can be good but as experienced traveller I regret to write this review, but customers do need to know , that the structure is lavish while the...

Wir waren insgesamt 8 Nächte in der Masseria Corda di Lana Ende Mai 2014 zu Gast. Bereits vor unserer Ankunft wurden wir von den Hotelmitarbeitern positiv überrascht: wir haben unseren Urlaub eigentlich über ein Reiseportal gebucht. Auf Nachfrage beim Hotel wie viel ein Upgrade in die Suite del Conte kostet, wurde uns geantwortet, dass wir dieses Upgrade kostenlos bei ihnen bekommen, wenn wir direkt über das Hotel buchen. So haben wir es dann auch gemacht. Tipp: bei Möglichkeit direkt im Hotel buchen, um vor allem in der Nebensaison die besten Angebote zu erhalten. ||Die Anreise gestaltete sich mit einem Mietwagen, den man zwingend benötigt, auch ohne Navi problemlos. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen. Das Gepäck wurde auf unser Zimmer gebracht und es gab einen Aperitif an der Bar. Die gesamte Anlage machte von Anfang an einen sehr gepflegten und tadellosen Eindruck. Es ist noch beeindruckender als auf den Fotos. Unser Zimmer war sauber, geräumig und stilsicher. Wir hatten eine HP zu unserem Aufenthalt dazu gebucht. Diese kostet pro Person und Tag ca. 25 Euro. Getränke werden natürlich separat berechnet. Wir empfehlen allen, die einen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel planen die HP. Der Chefkoch Antonio ist einer der besten, kreativsten und engagiertesten Köche, die wir jemals erlebt haben. Zu fast jedem Gang kommt er aus seiner Küche und erklärt, entweder auf italienisch oder englisch seine Idee hinter dem Gericht. Zudem gibt er nebenbei Tipps, wie man auch zu Hause tolle Gerichte zaubern kann. Einmal bekamen wir einen Nachtisch serviert. Dieser erschien dem Chefkoch noch nicht optimal gelungen, weshalb er den Gang noch einmal mit in die Küche nahm um ihn zu perfektionieren. Super!!! Eine absolute Empfehlung für alle, die die typische italienische Küche mal traditionell mal neu interpretiert schätzen. Eine deutsche Schinken- Käse- Sahnesosse wird hier einem Gott sei Dank nicht verkauft. Die Produkte sind allesamt frisch zubereitet, regionaler Herkunft, die Kräuter sammelt der Chef jeden Abend aus dem Kräutergarten. ;) Ebenfalls top ist der Oberkellner Giuseppe. Mit viel Charme und Herzlichkeit ist er ein guter Gastgeber. Am Abend gibt es immer eine Vorspeise, einen ersten Gang, einen zweiten Gang und einen Nachtisch. Man wählt die entsprechenden Speisen bereits am Morgen aus und kann sich den ganzen Tag auf die Kreationen freuen.||Man kann im Hotel nicht nur zu Abend essen. Auf Nachfrage ist es auch möglich um die Mittagszeit oder auch Nachmittags kleine Antipasti an den Pool gebracht zu bekommen. Diese Antipasti sind köstlich. Frisch zubereitet und so wie man sich das wünscht. Besser geht es nicht. ||Ein kurzes Wort zum Preis- Leistungsverhältnis: Wasser 0,75l mit oder ohne Kohlensäure 2 Euro. Zum Frühstück kostenlos. Wein zwischen 9-35 Euro. Kaffee 1 Euro. Gemischter Antipastiteller für zwei Personen 3-5 Euro. Ein absoluter Wahnsinn. Wo gibt es das heute noch vor allem in dieser Qualität??? ||Das Frühstück besticht ebenfalls durch seine ausgezeichnete Qualität. Es gibt alles was das Herz in Süditalien wünscht. Regionale Produkte (z.B. Pasticciotto leccese, friselline...). Die freundliche, herzliche und deutschsprachige Bedienung Anna serviert dazu nach Herzenswunsch warme oder kalte Getränke. Und wenn es gerne noch ein Croissant mehr sein darf, dann gibt es das frisch aus dem Ofen dazu. Auch hier gibt es Gott sei Dank kein Buffett mit Würstchen etc. Wobei wir uns sicher sind, dass das auf Nachfrage sogar möglich gemacht wird. ||Parkplätze gibt es in ausreichender Menge und kostenfrei am Hotel. ||Das Hotelpersonal organisiert ohne große Mühe jeden Ausflugswunsch, z.B. Reitausflug am Strand, private deutschsprachige Stadtführungen, Wein- und Olivenölverkostungen, Restaurantreservierungen etc.||||Fazit: traumhaftes Hotel, gut geschultes, freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, eine super gute Küche und eine absolute Empfehlung für alle, die etwas individuelles, traditionelles, geschmackvolles mit einem top Preis- Leistungsverhältnis suchen. ||Abschließend ein großes Dankeschön an alle Mitarbeiter, auch die, die wir namentlich nicht genannt haben für einen wunderschönen Urlaub. |The hotel is set in an olive grove, and it is surrounded by beautiful grounds. Unfortunately, the trees are dead or dying due to a virus that is spreading throughout southern Italy; but in a way, the centuries old trunks are still beautiful. ||The common areas and guest rooms are set in buildings that once held an olive processing facility. Much of it looks like it has been remodeled in just the past few months. ||Our room was spacious and comfortable with a large bath, a separate sleeping area, and a sitting room as you entered from the garden. It was sparsely but tastefully decorated. Wi-Fi was strong in the room despite the thick stone walls.||The staff was wonderful. They were helpful with beach recommendations, and always friendly. Service at breakfast was very attentive.||We made use of the one of the two pools our first afternoon. It is clean and large, with comfortable lounge chairs. There is a bar with a friendly server who made us great Aperol Spritz.||Breakfast was fine with a selection of local meats and cheeses, well as pastries...
