Truly Home — Hotel in Locorotondo

What a lovely place! You will find it clean, fresh and beautiful. Big gorgeous bathroom and bedroom. Located not to far from Alberobello this cute Trulli is amazing. You can walk in the olive tree garden, pick fresh tomatoes, salad’s and basil straight from the garden or why not some fresh eggs at the chicken house. The hosts Dany and Danilo are the friendliest and most helpful people. Their kindness and hospitality is truly something. From here you can also walk about 15 min in to Locorotondo. Mi dispiace dare due stelle perché il posto è molto carino e i proprietari sono anche gentili ma nel 2024 col cambiamento climatico che stiamo vivendo non si può pensare di ospitare una famiglia a fine luglio senza aria condizionata. Il trullo è bello e curato, pulito e nuovo ma essendo assolatissimo, diventa una pietra infuocata e anche aprendo tutte le finestre non passa aria perché il vento locale soffia dal lato di casa dove non ci sono finestre quindi non si crea mai riscontro. In una delle due camere c'era un condizionatore rotto, quando abbiamo segnalato la cosa all'inizio ci è stato detto che invece era funzionante e che nessuno si era mai lamentato, poi dopo hanno fatto venire un tecnico a controllare ma l'impianto aveva una perdita e quindi ugualmente non abbiamo risolto. Nell'altra stanza (che poi è un soggiorno con angolo cottura e letto) non ci siamo mai stati perché c'era solo un ventilatore ed era da collasso garantito. Abbiamo passato la prima notte in piedi, fuori nel giardino. Io stavo per sentirmi male dalla tachicardia, se avessimo avuto un anziano con noi saremmo dovuti scappare il primo giorno. La seconda notte siamo stati accampati nell'unica stanza possibile quella col condizionatore rotto, io e i bambini in qualche modo sul letto e mio marito sul divanetto. La terza notte non siamo rimasti, abbiamo anticipato il rientro perché non volevamo soffrire più. Peccato perché sarebbero bastati due climatizzatori decenti per rendere la permanenza vivibile, abbiamo anche noi le case vacanza da parecchi anni quindi sappiamo come fare accoglienza. Dany and Danielo were delightful, as were baby Daphne and Totò the dog. They couldn't be more helpful and you can have fresh eggs from the hens, salads and vegetables from the garden and cherries from the trees. There's no problem with parking and the place is secure.
