The Good
Terrific Kids Entertainment Team: The kids’ entertainment team at the hotel was absolutely terrific and outstanding. Our daughters adored them. Each team member gave so much attention to the kids, making them feel special. Their creativity and ability to have fun alongside the children were truly genius.
Exceptional Bartenders: Marchello and Lorenzo, the bartenders, were mind-blowing! They went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable, constantly working to please us. Their dedication and friendliness really stood out.
The Bad
Inconvenient Room Location: Our room location was quite inconvenient, especially with two small kids. We were placed near the entrance, requiring us to walk across the entire hotel grounds to reach the kids’ club. Although there are shuttles and the drivers are super friendly, there are only 1 or 2 drivers working at a time. This often meant we had to walk rather than wait for a ride. It would be beneficial if the hotel hired more drivers.
Annoying Card System: The card system for payments was quite frustrating. We had to load money onto a card and continually reload it at the lobby. It would be much simpler if charges could be billed directly to the room. Some hotels use RFID bracelets that allow guests to charge expenses to their room, which is a much more convenient system.
The Ugly
Poor Restaurant Service: The restaurant staff seriously needs training, which unfortunately overshadowed many positive aspects of the hotel. Despite paying for half board and being told we could have breakfast at either the buffet or the restaurant closer to our room, we were turned away from the restaurant because our room wasn’t on the list. This happened even though the restaurant wasn’t full at the time. We had to walk all the way back to the buffet with hungry kids. When we inquired at the lobby, the employee insisted that our room was not close enough to the restaurant, and only certain guests were allowed. After escalating to a manager, they apologized for the error at both the restaurant and lobby. This experience made us feel awful, especially in front of our kids, after promising them a short stroll to breakfast.
Additional Restaurant Issues: We also experienced issues with our half board reservation at the pizza restaurant. Our 3-year-old got hungry before our reservation time, so we went to the buffet for a small plate of rice. We were seated, but after the baby ate, they charged us €14 for baby pasta. Again, we had to speak to a manager, who apologized for the mistake, as our meal was included in our package. These repeated mistakes in the restaurant services made our stay less pleasant than it could have been.
I hope this review helps potential guests make an informed decision and encourages the hotel management to address...
Read moreCala di Lepre is a decent 3* resort, and under normal circumstances that wouldn’t be a bad thing. The real issue begins when you see the room rates—£750 per night (half board) simply isn’t justified. The resort is in a fairly remote location, and unfortunately, the photos and glossy website don’t reflect the reality on the ground.
For vegetarians and vegans, the dining experience is quite disappointing, with extremely limited options. To give an example, even squid ink pasta was labeled as vegetarian. While the manager can be helpful, you usually need to escalate matters to get proper support.
The staff at reception and around the resort are generally friendly, but again, the overall experience doesn’t live up to the premium pricing. What makes things worse is being charged €4 for bottled tap water—particularly frustrating when temperatures outside hover around 30–35 degrees. This is marketed as a “sustainable” approach, but in reality, it feels like unnecessary profiteering.
The neighboring hotel, Capo d’Orso (part of the same group), offers no shuttle or easy transfer option. Instead, guests are left paying €50 for a return taxi, made worse by a confusing booking system and unclear communication.
Medical support is also lacking—no doctor is available after 8pm. On the other hand, loud entertainment continues late into the night, with music disturbing rooms in the 400 range.
The beach itself was underwhelming compared to the promotional photos, leaving us feeling somewhat suffocated. For snorkeling or boat trips, we found it far better to arrange directly in Palau rather than relying on the hotel staff.
Overall, while the resort has some positives, it fails to justify the price tag and falls well short of...
Read moreIn July I spent my holiday in Delphina Cala di Lepre resort, 10 days during Caronte hot temperature. Despite the hot I really enjoy my holiday, it was a wonderful time and this happened specially because the perfect hotellerie service offered in the resort. The food was a perfect mix of italian dishes cooked with expert knowledge (the fish was superb!!), the service offered at the restaurant exceeded, in my opinion, the 4 stars being able to reach higher levels. The dishes prepared near the pool were very tasty (I recommend the special non-alcoholic fruit cocktails prepared by the barman, really refreshing!!!). The place where the resort is located is excellent: although there is an always punctual shuttle service, having a sedentary job, I really appreciated the walks in the typical Sardinian greenery, the sea was azul color, always clean, the beach was well equipped and sometimes there were two lifeguards attentive and prepared to meet the needs. There was good WI-FI service for all the resort, although it slows down for few seconds. The courtesy and kindness I received from all the staff of the resort made my holiday exceptional and I thank you very much for all the smiles I have received; as well my wife got the same positive vibes from this holiday at the Cala di Lepre resort and in our next trip to Sardinia we will definitely choose this place, they are professionals in the hotel industry and I strongly recommend spending a vacation in Delphina for all who want to discover the world of Gallura, an unforgettable place in the world! In one word? I enjoy...
