Let me start with the positive things as the is what I would like to remember from our stay. This property is located in a very nice place with amazing view and close by private beach. It also has a nice pool area and every apartment has some outside furniture for you to use as well, so it was really nice to be able to sit outside with a glass of wine at the end of the day. The luggage service was great, as they took it for us up to the apartment and showed us around. There was also parking available at the property, which was also great as we rented a car and could come in and out anytime. ||||However, our vacation was a little but spoiled by some very unconventional requests from the side of the hotel and also no breakfast at the property. But first things first. Upon check-in they gave us a big folder with all kinds of instructions inside and send us up. To be honest, when you are on vacation you usually do not read the whole brochure they give you but I read it only because I was waiting for my boyfriend who was going downstairs to pick up something from the car. There were couple of things that shocked us, such we were supposed to count everything that was in the apartment upon arrival (all the cutlery included) and write the number on a piece of sheet so that when we check out, they know we did not steal anything, This is ridiculous just from the point, that when you go on vacation, you will not spend an hour counting what is inside, that is their responsibility. Also, there was a big stress on keeping things clean, and considering that when I opened the kitchen cabinet to make coffee, the coffee press was all dirty and sticky from who knows when, the request was not in place. Then there were some ridiculous rules regarding the pool and what you can and cannot take and when should you use the loo before using the pool...It was also said that laundry will be changed around 10 on a specific day and if you are in the apartment at that time it will not be changed. They also wanted us to let them know the exact time someone could come and check the apartment we stayed in to see if nothing is missing the day before our departure ( I think it was between 5 - 7pm). Not sure what would happen if we were not there at that time..also just implying we are stealing as they need to check it after us...It definitely did not make us feel welcomed. I am sorry if the hotel has some bad experience with previous guests, but they cannot punish everyone for that. ||But the top was that it was written that breakfast is included in the booking (thats why we reserved it, as we book only accommodations with breakfast as we eat only mornings and evenings) and it was basically 1 drink of your choice (coffee or soft drink, not even both) + 1 piece of pastry and packed toasted bread with packed Nutella...when we complained that this is not what we booked, we were told by the lady at the reception that this is mostly booked by German families and they cook themselves so they do not have real breakfast. Im not sure what kind of argument is this, either way, if they do not have breakfast, its fine, but it should be written before you book it, so that you do not expect normal breakfast and get 1 piece of pastry instead. Im sorry to say but this was a disappointment and for the above reasons we would probably try some other...
Read moreFirst time visit to Sardinia. Travelled in a group of 4 families , my family is to kids (3 and 5) and my girlfriend . ||We were warmly welcomed at the resort and had an amazing time with the resort as our secure base . The personel was very hospitable and arranged early breakfast and prolonged the pool closing hours for us a bit, as they saw our kids were having such a great time . Nothing seemed forced and they were flexible within reason with our needs ||All the personnel were nice and helpful but particularly a man named Christopher from the Philippines were great with the kids and made especially them feel at home ||The rooms were great and air conditioned . This was essential after days in 35-40 degrees C (July)||Small areas of improvement could be |- There was a fine of 200 euros per family that arrived late. Our flight and rental cars happened smoothly but we landed late (around 19:00) and got our rental car right away and drove to the resort . Had there been any delay we’d have breached their rule of being there before 22.00 and had gotten a fine . I’d love to have known clearly about this in advanced (ie stated in the booking , so we could have chooses an earlier flight). We were to my knowledge only informed about this fine at arrival 21:59. |- Instructions for sorting waste were unclear but it worked out anyway (6-7 different things you need to sort but you only get one bin)|- breakfast, although generous in Italien standards and with refills , there’s no meat and very little protein or complex carbs (ie porridge etc). Mostly croissants, yoghurt and pancakes with jam. I bought nuts for the yoghurt and ham and cheese for the sandwiches in a local store and brought it , and so did many others ||So in short: small things to correct , but they weight it up in hospitality and flexibility and with a great pool and rooms. I would choose this place again for similar travels or...
Read morePlease avoid if you want genuine quality and a lovely Sardinian experience. 2 stars (rather than 1) only because of the great scenery and green costal location. The resort is run by an autocrat of a lady who is sadly still in the 1970's; staff are 'trained' in her way, which is direct, defensive and without empathy and nuance. She pretends she doesnt speak a word of English so all questions go to the young ladies at reception. When any question is asked at here, the staff are rude, un-empathic and demeaning - even for simple requests like 'what time is breakfast served?'. Giggling and muttering in Italian became the common response!||||With two young boys, we were disappointed to find on the first evening to find that 'dinner options' at the restaurant on site was a small palm sized frozen pizza or microwave pasta. This continued, with breakfast served on plastic plates, with plastic cutlery; all blowing away of course in this blustery location - all pre-made options, and thrown on the table. Our room with 'garden' was a thin strip of grass outside the patio, unsuitable for the young boys. The rooms were dated, and not the standard expected for the promised 'luxury'. ||||But the saddest thing about our dream holiday was the interrupted sleep we experienced each evening, whereby a loud 'screeching' noise (almost blood curdling!) was heard for 10-15 mins each evening at roughly the same time - 3am. When we asked about this on the second day, we were told 'we'll investigate'. It was day 4 before the poor handyman came along, and the feedback later was 'oh thats just our pipework, it is old'. No apology, no further discussion. We came back tired and fatigued, unsure whether we'd visit the island...
