This is definitely not a five star hotel. The amount they charge makes it seem like you are staying at the nicest 5 star resort in Sardinia. It is actually a very outdated hotel with almost no real beach and old rooms with weak AC and no extra room amenities. The check in process took forever and they fed my kids boxed pasta with canned tomato sauce when we finally checked in. You have to walk forever to get anywhere and my kids wanted out of the kids club after 10 minutes. There were ants in the lobby and in the room. It was indeed very scenic. We had come from a real 5 star hotel in Cagliari for a third of the price fora MUCH nicer hotel, and this was the place we booked for my wife's birthday. When she saw the room and the ants, she was so upset. They were at least nice enough to refund 90% and let us leave. We booked the presidential suite at our first hotel in Cagliari, a true five star hotel for 600 euros less than the 90% refund. The amount they are charging for this place is criminal. I am driving until 2 am with my family to get back to a real 5 star hotel. Response to hotel: Your response has perfectly encapsulated why you are not a 5 star hotel. Someone has such a bad experience they ask to leave to resort, and your response is simply to say you do not deserve it without addressing any of the criticisms. That room you offered was for >8000 euros for 3 nights when my initial booking was <4000 euros, and it was not an upgrade, with essentially no view when we had booked ocean view, and both rooms were old and outdated. As I mentioned to you there, we booked rooms all throughout Europe this way with a pull out couch and a crib for our youngest not knowing about the more stringent rules in some places, and your hotel was by far the least accommodating and reasonable; after the experience at your hotel we called all other hotels to let them know and not a single place gave us any issue. We felt trapped at the hotel, kept us there consistently telling us managers were unavailable to speak to us, after keeping us there for 3 hours and seeing the outdated rooms briefly, my kids were very hungry, so when you offered finally to "reduce" the price to 6700 euros for 3 nights, we felt like we had no other options. When we finally arrived in the room it smelled of mold and there were ants in the bed, and we needed to get out of there. The food that arrived for my kids after 3 hours was boxed pasta with bland terrible tomato sauce, they hardly ate any...in Italy (they love pasta). We asked for a crib and received a bed with 1 rail with the wall expected for other rail, and one of the ACs was working very poorly. My wife went to go find a way out while I explored the "best beach" according to your guide and there was almost no sand and very small areas to swim. I review most hotels I stay at, quite fairly I might add, and I included positives and negatives in my review. Nowhere in my review did I say I experienced all of your restaurants and coastline. I did not commend your transparency, you in fact kept the managers from speaking to my wife for a few hours and she had to stand there waiting at the front desk to speak to them, but rather I commended them for letting us leave with at least a partial (6300 euro) refund. Because of the delay we were not able to leave until close to 10 pm, wherein you refused to let me even buy food to feed my kids. It's okay because the food my kids had in town was much better. Might I suggest management not say you do not deserve partially negative review without addressing of the criticisms? I'm sure some people don't care about old outdated rooms with ants and walking very far to get anywhere as long as there are some scenic views, but honestly the only thing I find curious is how you have a high rating on google maps. Your hotel gave a condescending attitude towards me and my family as soon as we arrived; at no time did we feel welcome, nor did we want to be there. It is not surprising your response to my review is the least classy response I have ever had from any hotel.

Recently stayed here for 4 days with 2 others. We really enjoyed our stay and would overall recommend this resort. A couple of things to note to ensure this is the right place for you. 1. It’s very remote, you need a car to get here and really would recommend having a car if you want to explore anything other than the resort. Most places are 40-45min away. Parking was easy and the staff was extremely helpful picking up your bags and delivering to your room. 2. Huge property, they do have constant golf cart shuttles you can catch to get around if you don’t want to walk. If you have mobility issues, this might be a challenging resort for you. Otherwise, the walks are beautiful and the resort is well maintained. You feel like it’s just you amidst the Sardinian coast line and greenery. 3. You only get the opportunity to have your own golf cart if you book one of the imperial/presidential suites. Otherwise, you can use shuttle or walk the resort 4. There is a fresh water pool by the family suites, the others are seawater. We had no issue with this. One seawater pool has a swim up bar with excellent service (shout out to Eduardo!) 5. Dinners- buffets have a lot of options but are typical of a buffet. There is a restaurant included that you can make a reservation at for menu/ala carte ordering but note it is pretty high end, pre-fixe style menu. We felt the hotel could’ve been more descriptive when it came to the restaurants and would’ve like a sample menu or something for each. Ask questions and make reservations right away. The bar service on the Licciola side was incredible, beautiful area with great options. 6. Breakfast buffet was great, fried egg station and many other options, table service for coffee. Lunch by the pool with the pasta bar was phenomenal. Otherwise, I would’ve liked to see more casual lunch offerings. 7. The hotel could advertise and communicate their amenities better, there is a golf area, tennis court, volleyball and zip line for kids that seems under utilized. The fitness walk along the coastline is pretty cool and nice to do even if you don’t interact with the fitness equipment. Great way to see the coastline and resort. 8. Hotel offers a bag to take with you during your stay which is a nice touch. They don’t have water stations or anything throughout the property so I’d take a water bottle with you or plan to order from the bar. 9. Loved that the hotel allowed us to enjoy the pools and beach after check out and offered us a room to shower and freshen up in before we left for the airport. Absolutely incredible offer by them. 10. The beach is great! Full service there, very friendly people and easy to enjoy. 11. Lastly, the spa was a great spot, we enjoyed massages and the pools they had. Would recommend going for a half day, the entry for the hydro circuit is only 30 euro. Overall would recommend, especially with kids as they seemed to have a really great and lovely kids club allowing parents some time to themselves to unplug.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay. We just arrived home from our Sardinian honeymoon with this resort, and it was truly the best week of our lives. First, the transfer they arranged from the airport was smooth and perfect. Then, we were greeted by Olivia, who not only gave us the warmest welcome with all of the information we needed, but she was at our complete disposable all week, and so incredibly helpful and kind every step of the way. She arranged all of our dinners, she arranged our transfers, she arranged our boat day complete with lunch and drinks on board, she made our honeymoon the best it could’ve been, and we are so grateful for her. She is absolutely the best, but we were not encountered by one staff member that wasn’t incredible. The bartenders and servers quickly remembered our names and preferences which was really impressive, the cleaners were so attentive and wonderful, and Alessia helped make our boat excursion perfect. The rooms and grounds were gorgeous and immaculate, and the food was delicious. Our favorite was our dinner with Li Zini- I can’t event describe this scrumptious beachfront magic, you just have to book a dinner there to see for yourself. Our day with Thalasso Spa was perfect, from the wonderful massage to the multiple thermal pools with outstanding jets and even better views. The beaches were pristine and stunning, the water is the most beautiful clear blue. Marco lead our boat day to Corsica and La Maddalena, and it was truly a day to remember. Some of the most beautiful beaches, views and water we have ever seen in our lives, not to mention he not only served us snacks and lunch and kept our drinks full, but he was so knowledgeable about the information and history of the areas. I could go on and on, but long story short, our stay with this resort was the best we could’ve asked for. Not one thing to complain about. We are so grateful we chose Sardinia and Resort Valle dell’Erica for our honeymoon. We will definitely be back!

This resort is a perfect place to relax, chill and get away from busy city and work life. The food is superb here. Nautilus and in particular the BBQ nights are great and you can chose from various meats, such as quail, pork, quinea fowl, beef, Sea bass, sea bream etc, the list goes on, plus a decent buffet available inside, chefs cooking pasta and serving various fish such as Turbot, huge sea bass to name some. Breakfast is always top notch here as well, omelettes are lovely, and the smoothies made by Rachaelea (hopefully spelt right) are perfect. The Li Ciusoni restaurant you have to try, the food is great. The staff will throw leftovers out and within minutes Wild boar and foxes appear to take the food. It’s good fun to watch and part of the dining experience.|Never an issue getting a sunbed and you do not need to sneak down in the middle of the night to reserve. This is not that kind of place.|The place is huge and you will need to get a taxi to get around! which is free and it is not really a taxi so don’t worry, it is in fact an electric golf type of cart, quite nippy though and big shout out to Matteo for all the lifts – what a great guy he is. The views are fantastic from different points around the complex so get your phone cameras ready when in the taxi.|There are two parts to the hotel, Hotel Licciola which was opened I think 2014 and the original Erica built in the 80’s. We stayed in the Erica and we preferred this section, more of a rustic look where the new Licciola part is similar but looks a bit more more updated, particularly the reception, bar and Les Bouches restaurant. Food all pretty much the same as the Erica.|We spent a lot of time at Bar Captain Nemo and the pools just near there. The pools are generally quiet and lovely. Note that there are other pools such as the Spa (35 Euros pp for 2 hours) and in the Licciola part of the complex (swim up bar).|Big shout out to Thomas, Luigi, and Matilda at Bar Captain Nemo – fantastic customer service. Ichnusa was my favourite beer there and at 7 Euros for a bottle of beer is a touch pricey but all you have do is look around and realise where you are. There are other beers, such as Becks etc, priced 8 Euros.|One special mention is to the lovely Bianca who generally worked out of Nautilus and she recommended us Li Ciusoni where she actually waited on us when we dined there. If you go to the resort, look out for her, she is really good. We communicated by Google Translate which we all found rather funny. She is an asset to the business. |And one more, guest relationship manager Aneu is brilliant and also she is fluent in English, not many staff are by the way, but that did not bother us at all and after all we were visiting their country and respectfully we tried to get to grips with Italian, but back to Aneu be on the lookout for her, take her WhatsApp and she will sort and help anything for you. Aneu will go above and beyond for you.|Sardinia is beautiful and we will be back for sure. Don’t hesitate to book this resort if you are thinking of it and wanting to go...
