The staff, especially reception and the dining room people, were friendly and helpful. The grounds are fantastic and well kept. The breakfast is probably one of the best we’ve had in Puglia, with lots of good choices, including scrambled eggs, although somewhat cold. The size of the buffet table made up for the eggs, which are unusual for breakfast in Italy anyway. We enjoyed our stay. Our room was quiet and a good size. The only complaints we had were that, (1) the shower is very small (we’re not big people, but it was an unusually tight cubicle) and the sliding doors made getting in somewhat awkward, especially with the water running, (2) the floor in the shower is somewhat slippery, too, and (3) the air conditioner in the room was quite loud and not all that effective. Reception was very quick to respond to our complaint and had the noise looked at, although that wasn’t as successful as one might hope. As for the temperature in the room, we were there during a heat wave and it did not cool comfortably. Reception reset the temperature setting remotely to 17.5... the room should have felt like a fridge at that low setting, but it did not come down effectively during our 3 day stay. Otherwise, we were fine in the common areas. The room had a balcony overlooking the pretty grounds and overall, they were relatively tranquil. The hotel has plenty of parking and is easily accessible. We wished it hadn’t been quite as remote and that we could walk to town, but that was not possible, as it’s off the highway and not actually within the city of Manfredonia, but rather the outskirts. It would be a great venue for a...
Read moreWe stayed 2 nights at Regiohotel Manfredi and it was a very average stay overall.
Things we liked: The rooms were clean, spacious and reasonably equipped Free parking at the hotel
Things that lead to the low rating:
Very poor breakfast overall. The bread was not fresh and brick-hard, cheese and ham was literally sticking together and not very tasty, fruits were served from a can. First day the knife on our table was dirty, and the usage of plastic and paper cups just causes too much waste
Front desk employee started our check-in and then picked up the phone until the point that another person had to give us the keys after a couple of minutes waiting. Overall the whole experience was somewhat similar including reminder emails on the first morning via booking.com (probably a bot) that tells you that checkout is at 10:30 and that you should leave on time although you have another night at the hotel. Not very welcoming.
The hotel has a destination charger (up to 11 kW) for electric cars but only Porsche cars can charge for free. For other cars the price is ridiculously high at 6 Euro per hour (~0.55 cents/kWh) which is more expensive than the Tesla Superchargers or any normal public charger.
There was a party/venue on Saturday night in the same building as the hotel rooms with loud music which happened to be right below our hotel room
Wifi was...
