B&B La Cà di Sala — Hotel in Margno

We stayed there for two nights, while visiting the Lakes. This BB is the best place we have stayed in Italy. The BB has a great location, being not far from the lake Como and also a nice starting point for a hike. The owner is very friendly without intruding. The BB has parking spaces reserved for guests 100m away from the house. The owner has arranged a discount for the guests in the restaurants near by. The house itself is more than 100 years old and very well restored, providing excellent comfort and preserving its authentic charm. The bed is comfortable and the towles are soft and fluffy. The breakfast is great- local cheeses, salams, ham, jams, croissants, juice and fresh coffee. Free wifi available at good speed. The only thing you should have in mind is that the church is very close by and the bell might wake you up, but its only normal for such small community. Place...

Margno, ein kleiner, zum Teil sehr alter Ort oberhalb des Comer Sees. Die Inhaberin Gerlanda kümmert sich schon vorab um die Wünsche der Gäste, z.B. Abholung von der Bushaltestelle, auch wenn man im nächsten Ort ankommt. Ich war ohne Auto dort und sie hat mich einige Male zum Bus gebracht, abgeholt oder sogar bis runter an den See nach Bellano gefahren und mir dabei auf einer schönen Panoramastraße die Gegend gezeigt. Gerlanda spricht gut englisch und wenn mal das ein oder andere Wort fehlt, dann wird es halt umschrieben :-)||Alleine abends im Dunkeln zum Restaurant laufen war mir zu weit, da wäre ein Auto oder Begleitung schöner, aber man kann es sich auch in Gäste-Küche und Gäste-Wohnzimmer gemütlich machen und sich dort jederzeit einen Tee oder Kaffee zubereiten. Gekocht habe ich nicht, aber wäre vielleicht auch möglich. Ich habe mich mittags während meiner Ausflüge im Restaurant satt gegessen und brauchte abends dann nicht mehr viel. ||Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich, ich habe gar nicht alles genutzt. Wlan ist auch vorhanden.||Die Kirchenglocken wecken allerdings um 6 Uhr, da muss man sich mit anfreunden...||Wanderkarten und sonstige Infos liegen im Flur bereit, ein Fön ist vorhanden.||Zu Fuss erreichbar gibt es die Bergbahn, die mich in 5 Minuten auf 1500 Meter Höhe gebracht hat, von wo aus man schön spazieren/wandern kann. Aber auch von Margno aus kann man verschiedene Wanderungen machen.||Es gibt 3 Katzen im Haus, die sehr gerne gekrault werden.||Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt!...

Gerlanda the owner, is the host during your stay, and she is doing everything to make you feel comfortable. Unusual for Italy habbits she offers a great breakfast (Germans will like it) with home made jam and cheese of the region. Lovely restored house, with very individual rooms. If you have the time, Gerlanda will love to show you around in this building. Parking is 200 Meters across the street, on public area. We loved the stay and promise...
