Il Grappolo in Langa — Hotel in Monastero Bormida

We stayed at Agriturismo il GRAPPOLO in LANGA last June. This was our first visit to the Piedmont region. The landscape is very beautiful and the little villages are worth visiting. And the food, was great! Still thinking about this stay every day. One of my best stays ever.||From the first moment we felt very welcome at the Agriturismo. The host, Francesca, is a sweaty and is very help full and warm person. She speaks English enough. Her mother is also a very nice person.||||The room looks new and is clean and well decorated. The first night we were the only guests. We had diner at the Agriturismo. This is prepared by Francesca and her mother. It’s a 8 course meal and it’s so good. From primo to dessert it is all from high quality and the most is from own land and typical piedmont.||||The second day Francesca gave us some tips what to visit. The nice thing was that the tip where to go wasn’t in any guidebook we had. I can’t say what it is, because then you will go there to ;-)||||Our car broke down this day. We found a garage to let our car get fixed. We called Francesca to help us. She picked us up at the garage and helped us discus when the car was fixed. Super help full!||||That evening we had diner again at the Agriturismo. This was another great meal. This time we knew what to expect, so we had no lunch that day. We were still full of the meal of last night.||The food is super fresh and of high quality.||||The next day Francesca called with the garage to check when our car was ready. It would be at the end of the day. Ok, so there you are in your Agriturismo and no car. What Francesca did is this. She took us to Acqui Terme. We had our personal guide. We had the best ice cream of this region and visited a Church. Her mother was there to. When we got back they showed us some old roman bridge. And when our car was ready she dropped us at the garage. What about that? Superb!!!||||This stay was of a very high standard and the hospitality was so good! We will definitely go back to this...

Friends of mine were hosting a motorcycle rally right next door, but I needed comfortable accommodations as I was traveling with my family. Grappolo in Langa is by far the best B&B I've visited in all of Italy. As a new addition to the ever growing Agriturismo San Desiderio, this B&B offers not only the best accommodations in town, but also the absolute best breakfast: plenty of and delicious, with my own entire coffee pot of espresso. Walk over to the Agriturismo and enjoy the best possible dinner in the region. And yes, the place is surrounded by the "Langhe", famous hills of the region known for its fabulous array of wines. I really don't care why you are in this region. Book it and eat there! It may be work related or maybe you are on vacation (i was, btw, there with my gf). The rooms are clean, the house is an old one but recently restored. I mean, there's also a tv set, but who cares. that's pretty usual. You wanna know what it's not usual? You get to eat what these people eat. Cooked by them in the room nearby. It obliterated my idea of what good food is. Really, I should go back and take off starts from my previous reviews. I mean, I cannot really describe it all, but it was a lot of food, and all of it was off the chart!...
