This is the second time we have stayed at this fantastic B & B with the charming Domenico and his family. Their property has four rooms, which although small are extremely comfortable and well planned. However, who would want to stay in their room! The house is on a large estate which is extremely beautiful. Domenico's mother has planned the gardens and has a wonderfully artistic eye re the planting. All the flowers are designed to attract butterflies. There is a wonderful swimming pool and as the B & B has few rooms we sometimes felt we had the estate and pool to ourselves! Breakfast is served on the outside terrace by Domenico and his lovely father. Breakfast is divine and the home produce keeps coming and coming! Fresh fruits, pastries and cold meats and cheeses. We have on both occasions been given a great welcome by this lovely family and intend to return, I can't recommend this B & B highly enough....
Read moreWe are so pleased that we chose to stay 4 nights at Antico Carrubo!! It is located outside of Monopoli so you need a car - but It is the perfect location for exploring towns like Alberobello, Ostuni and Locorotondo. The B&B consists of 4 rooms which are part of the family home - and Domeni and his family really make you feel like part of the family. It is surrounded by a beautiful garden and has a very nice pool. The breakfast served on the terrace each morning is the best breakfast we have ever experienced. High quality food cooked by Domenico's mother (some off their own trees) was so good - and kept on coming! We felt guilty that we could not eat it all! They also have a guest common area along with beer and wine in the fridge. If you are travelling to this area and have a car I would definitely recommend that...
Read moreAmazing B&B located on the hills overlooking Monopoli. A beautiful house with lovely gardens and a pool with plenty of deck chairs and seating area. From the moment we arrived Domenico, whose English is perfect, was very welcoming and sat down with us and recommended places to visit in the area and restaurants in Monopoli. Breakfast was an unbelievable feast served up to us by Domenico and his wonderful father. His English was as good as our Italian but we still got on great ! There are 4 rooms in total , 3 in the main house and we stayed in the 4th one which is in a small little loggia with its own patio and hammock . You couldn't ask for more ! Hopefully we will get back some day as it's a very special place. Thank you...
