Our 5 days in Il carrubo la dimora stay was a very nice experience. First of all Il carrubo la dimora is an excellent starting point to make trips in Puglia. The apartment was comfortable, spacious and very clean, provided with a small terrace. In the morning we were surprised by a tasteful breakfast with fresh vegetables and fruit and a large choice of pastry, always served with a warm good morning. The icing on the cake was the first-rate coffee, completely homemade: the beans are carefully chosen and roasted in Antonio's coffee-roasting factory. We had the opportunity to buy some coffee and we are still enjoying it at home. The swimming-pool is nice and clean and surrounded by trees and plants, ideal for finding rest after a daytrip in the beautiful Puglia or simply for enjoying the Italian sun. We had to book this hotel last minute as our previous accommodation was terrible and needed to leave after one night and these guys saved our holiday! They let us do an early check in just one hour after letting them know we we’re coming, the rooms were amazing, with comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms and air conditioning and all the necessary facilities. The pool area was amazing, with a bar and lounge where they also serve breakfast, which was varied, delicious and abundant. The staff was super nice and made us feel at home, treating us like VIPs. In terms of location it’s situated beside the highway but you don’t notice much noise and it’s ideal to move around Bari’s province. I can’t recommend it enough and I’m sure we’ll be back again! Abbiamo soggiornato 4 notti, con tre bimbi piccoli (di cui una neonata di 4 mesi). La sintesi? Tutto perfetto! Pulizia impeccabile, arredamento nuovo ed estremamente funzionale. Nel nostro appartamento c'era anche una lavatrice (con detersivo!) indispensabile per smacchiare alcuni indumenti dei più piccoli, soprattutto se si è in viaggio da molti giorni. Colazione con prodotti freschi e senza alcuno spreco visto che ogni giorno si comunica per il successivo le proprie preferenze (ma naturalmente è possibile modificare l'ordinazione anche la mattina stessa, per assecondare ad esempio le richieste dei bimbi). Piscina pulita e molto grande ma soprattutto sempre aperta senza limiti di orari, a differenza della maggior parte delle altre strutture. Bar a bordo piscina spesso aperto (abbiamo soggiornato nel periodo di ferragosto) che consente di accontentare le voglie dei più piccoli a qualsiasi ora, ma soprattutto possibilità di raggiungere in pochi minuti forni e minimarket dove è possibile acquistare pasti già pronti (primi di pasta, insalate, frutta già pronta ecc). L'elenco dei pro potrebbe continuare all'infinito. Ma mi fermo qui e dico solo due nomi: Giuseppe, il proprietario de Il Carrubo e sua figlia Anna, sono l'anima di questo posto che rendono tutto perfetto ed estremamente confortevole, come se si soggiornasse a casa di amici o parenti. Giuseppe è così disponibile (e allo stesso tempo estremamente discreto durante la permanenza degli ospiti) che nel giorno di ferragosto ci ha coccolati con uno splendido pranzo che lui stesso ha cucinato per tutti gli ospiti quel giorno presenti in struttura e che abbiamo apprezzato a bordo piscina con la sua splendida famiglia, il figlio Antonio e la moglie Margherita. È chiaro che Giuseppe è un host con molta esperienza ma non solo. È una persona estremamente disponibile, che vuole accontentare sempre le richieste dei clienti e che ha l'ambizione di chi lavora tanto: ovvero che tutto sia perfetto. E ci riesce alla grande. Voto 10/10! E se avessi trovato prima questa struttura, avrei fatto a meno di prenotare una settimana in un villaggio turistico estremamente più costoso, stressante e di bassa qualità al confronto.
