I Vivai Hotel — Hotel in Montemurlo

The Italian summer you are dreaming of!||||The hotel is located in the heart of Tuscany and you can visit a lot of great smaller and bigger towns within one hour by car. ||Talking about the hotel itself it offers an awesome combination of modern architecture combined with classic Italian design. The rooms are very big, super clean and modern.||||Pros:||- Awesome design||- Perfect service all over the hotel||- Great pool area with a lot of space and a nice pool bar||- Great breakfast with a well balanced combination of buffet and alla cart ||- Lovely dining experience with a large selection of wines||- Good location in the heart of Tuscany||- A lot of Italian guests creating a very local experience ||||Cons:||- NONE||||Arrival: 10/10||At the time of our arrival we were warmly welcomed and parking is free. Also the reception team directly asked about anything the can assist us with making our stay even more beautiful and creating an unique experience. Either you can choose from a lot of activities or ask the lovely service team to create you more unique fully customized experiences.||||Rooms: 10/10||The room was nicely prepared and has a perfect view. We are having an room on the first level (room 26) and can totally recommend it. Some large rooms also offering a terrace or balcony. ||||Breakfast: 10/10||Perfect breakfast with a large selection of international and local dishes. The buffet serves a well balanced combination of fresh fruits, bread, nuts and varying local cakes. At the table you can offer a large selection of dishes and drinks like freshly made orange juice. ||||Pool: 10/10||Large pool with a lot of space, overall not crowded with a lot of privacy due to the large area.||||Overall: 10/10||We are currently still staying at the hotel but this is definitely one of the best hotels we have ever visited. We booked I Vivai expecting a refined experience based on its ratings. Instead, service was slow, staff unprofessional, and basic hospitality standards ignored.|Breakfast was the weakest aspect: no table setup, no greeting, no table service, and staff openly displaying annoyance at having to serve guests. Dirty plates and glasses remained unless we specifically asked for removal. Bread options were limited to tasteless white bread or toast; when I requested other bread at 8:00 a.m., I was told “the bakery is closed” — an unacceptable excuse for a hotel of this level. Food variety was poor, with basic items like tomatoes or omelettes available only at an extra charge. Breakfast is also limited to 07:00–10:00, yet pool access does not begin until 10:00. This makes little sense: if you eat breakfast early, you are left waiting before you can even sit by or use the pool — an unnecessarily rigid and guest-unfriendly policy.|Room comfort was equally poor: a bright, blinking green fire alarm light was positioned directly above our heads in bed, making sleep nearly impossible. On top of this, the plumbing system is extremely noisy — every time a neighboring room flushed their toilet, it was so loud it woke us several times during the night.|Housekeeping was careless — dirty plates from our arrival stayed in the room for three days. No poolside service, and slow service everywhere from the restaurant to the pool bar.|Despite repeated complaints, management offered no solutions, no compensation, and no improvement.
