Hotel Giallo Parma — Hotel in Noceto

Our stay at Hotel Giallo in July 2025 went completely wrong. When arriving we had to pay immediately before getting the keys (which I found werd at the time). We entered the room and turned on the airco. We had driven 1100km that day to get there and took a quick shower. Pretty fast it became clear the airco was not doing anything. We went to reception to complain (we had been there for 30 min max) and the receptionist told us they had called the repair people days ago but she did not know when they would come to fix it. Their airconditioning was broken already since a few days on the first and ground floor. She could not give us other rooms as the hotel was full. I asked for a refund so we could go to another hotel, but she could not decide anything without her boss, whom she could not reach. We went for a quick bite (it is 21h30 by this time). We ate fast because the reception would close at 23h and when back they hid behind the fact that we had been in the room for 30 min to say we could only get 40 euro per room back (we had 2 double rooms), which was only half of the paid price. What they should have done is let their guests know beforehand to ask if it was a problem and agree to cancel without costs if it was, instead they did nothing and tricked us into paying...

The hotel is located halfway between Parma and the local fairgrounds and faces an interstate road; still, rooms are well isolated and quiet. Rooms are also spacious and modern in style. Bathrooms are very large in size, too. The place is clean and run by staff that takes pride in their job. Breakfast is not stellar, but still pretty much varied. Hot water takes too long in the shower to run and that's a pity. We had a couple of minor issues with the fridge in one room and the nocturne light in the other room, but all in all were happy with the accommodation and decided to rebook...

We have visited the hotel as a group participaring for an exhibition. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We've had an incident and our flight was cancelled so we weren't able to occupy the rooms from the beggining of the reservation. The hotel manager was very kind and didn't charge us for the rooms for the nights we didn't stay. Also although the reservation we have made was with no breakfast included, they offerd a fair breakfast complementary . The room was good and clean....
