We planned to stay here after the long flight from Australia to relax and rest before our tour of Puglia. Perfect place to do that, the weather wasn't great when we arrived but a couple of days later the sun came out and we got to try the lovely little heated pool, perfect! The carpe dium trulli accomodation was perfect for the two of us, we had ordered a welcome pack to save us shopping for the first few days, it was a very generous pack and so much food plus a bottle of the local red wine that was really nice.|Breakfast was lovely and Stefania in the breakfast room was so helpfull and always rememered that we had a 2nd coffee to finish up with. Thanks also to the housekeeper Sonia who did such a great job and thanks for the pretty flowers she left in our room. We loved going for walks and the golf cart was such fun to get around.|The washing machine and clothes rack was good to have, when we left we had a suitcase full of clean clothes which is a good feeling when travelling. |We would love to come back one day and have reccommended the Borgo to all of...
Read moreBooked and paid for a 4 bedroom trulli, for a family holiday for 6 adults, which was confirmed on booking confirmation. On arrival we were shown to a 2 bedroom trulli with a further bedroom in a converted outhouse. We obviously did not accept the offered accommodation and were left after 2.5 hours of arguing at 6.30pm on a Friday to find alternative accommodation. Which. For 6 adults, at the height of summer was not easy but eventually found a hotel with enough rooms to accommodate us but at a much greater cost. Eventually got our money back from them for our booking but we lost over £250 due to credit card charges, had also booked an in trulli chef through a company introduced by them which had to be cancelled incurring us in another £300 of costs, which they have ignored my emails requesting this to be reimbursed. I can honestly say that in all my years of travelling I have never been treated in this way by any company or individual and would strongly recommend they be avoided...
Read moreWe stayed at the Borgo for a week at the end of September and we couldn’t recommend enough. It is absolutely stunning and Romina and the rest of the team couldn’t have been any more welcoming. We stayed in Carpe Diem which was perfect for the 2 of us. Immaculately clean and serviced every day. Golf cart to get round the grounds is a nice touch. The grounds are beautiful. Having your own vegetable patch to use and fruit trees around the grounds added to the experience. Breakfast is great and drinks in the evening - always with great service. Highlight for us was the ‘chef in trullo’ experience. We had the vegetarian menu and Rosa was absolutely fantastic. It was enough food for 2 days! She wrapped up everything we couldn’t eat and left the trullo perfectly tidy. A must do if you stay here! It was perfectly located to explore the local area - recommend visiting Alberobello and Ostuni in particular. We look forward to...
