My partner and I stayed nearly 3 months at the lovely ll Querceto. In the time we got to know our very friendly and helpful hosts Paola and Daniel very well. (In fact I hope we didn't bother them too much. If so they didn't let it show.) They made us feel very welcome and were always there for us.||||We opted to pay a little more and stay in the two bedroom appartamento piscina. The apartments large frosted glass doors let most of the days sunlight in and when warmer would open fully to look out on the swimming pool and the well maintained and established surrounding garden. I was working from the apartment so got to enjoy this divine setup for some weeks. The pool's location is high up enough to see the surrounding Umbrian hills. There is a large barbecue area and a child's playground. The apartment was comfortably furnished with all the mod cons one could need including all cooking utensils. The beds were comfortable and the heating worked very well when the colder weather settled in. We also needed high speed Internet and this was included and kept up with our demand.||||Il Querceto is well located about 20 mins drive into old Perugia town and about 40 mins to the lovely town of Gubbio (really worth the short drive. We went there many times). You can get to anywhere you need to get to on the highway only 4 minutes away. There are also shops and a large supermarket close by (3 and 5 mins drive).||||I can highly recommend Il Querceto for couples and especially families on budget long stays. We looked at many other similar accommodations in the area before choosing and this was definitely the best value for money having everything we needed. I take this opportunity to thank our lovely hosts...
Read moreMy husband, teenage son and daughter and I spent 3 days in Il Querceto. Although we originally arrived on the wrong side of the property and had to decipher the Italian from the farm workers to find it, we found it to be very peaceful, clean and modern. The view was beautiful from the table just outside our door where we had our meals. Paola and Daniele were very kind and welcoming and Daniele even invited my husband to do his early morning runs with him. After long days of touring around, this place was ideal for relaxing by the pool or at the picnic shelter where they had a music system set up and invited us to plug in our ipod. We were able to hike through the woods down to the farm fields below which was beautiful but otherwise, walking was on the road. The best part came with they offered some of their homemade wine, olives and focaccia bread- still warm. Great memories! Thanks to...
Read moreMy family and I stayed here for a week whilst attending a wedding at Tenuta Di Casa Bruciata Hotel. From the very first moment we were made to feel at home and relaxed. The owners are very helpful and nothing was too much trouble including driving us to the wedding and home from Perugia. Daniele also helped us bbq on his wood burning bbq. The accommodation is extremely clean and comfortable and the pool was a real bonus. Easy to get to the airport and into Perugia and a local supermarket was easy to reach by car. It is definitely on my list of places to...
