We had a great 2-week holiday in Pietra Ligure, staying at Hotel Ca'Ligure in Ranzi. We liked the fact that we were up at the start of the hills, so cooler and quieter than down on the sea front. The location is good and we had day trips by car as far west as Monte Carlo, north to Torino (Turin) and east to Genova and Portfino.||||The hotel was great, Stefanie runs a tight ship and all the staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed walking through the small garden and the pool was wonderful - on hot days or the day after after a busy day travelling, we would spend the day chilling by the pool and have a light lunch there before going down into Pietra Ligure in the evening.||||The rooms were fine and the roof terrace we had was great - very spacious. The beds were a little hard, but we got used to them after the first night. My young son really doesn't like dogs but the Rembado family's German Shepherd was very well behaved and well managed and not a problem. We certainly didn't have the problem that someone else mentioned about dog hair - the rooms were spotless throughout our visit (despite the state our children sometimes left them in...).||||Breakfasts were good (including home made fruit salad using fruit I think from the garden) and the light lunches perfect for a hot day. Stefanie gave us useful advice on things to do and see and is at least fluent in Italian, German and English. (It was very helpful having someone who spoke English, as we don't speak Italian and not many people in the area speak any English).||||I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a relaxed, low-key holiday for families, couples or...
Read moreThey call themselves bed and breakfast but their place has nothing to envy to those higher stars structures being closer to the sea.||We first parked slightly far in a public parking lot passing by the B&b since it becomes pretty easy to miss the turn to their private parking up the hill at the back of the hotel just few meters before their entrance .so watch out there trying not to make our mistake. ||We' were welcomed by the host of the B&b along the two kids and her mother. That made things already warm and easy going cutting out formalities and embarrassment .||We were given their best room once formerly their main family bed room before the B&b reconstruction .||The room was pretty simply, with clean sheets. Bathroom a bit tiny though but all|Those little missing details were compensated by the astonishing view from The room terrace . Thumbs up here||The cost of the a night accommodation was pretty fair considering the public holiday and the services offered. It was still to cold to take advantages of their huge swimming pool which is a surprisedly well maintained and clean.||Breakfast in a lovely hall full of light with a great view if you get lucky to be seated at the front of the breakfast area by the veranda.food at the counter was of a good variety and fresh made. sweet and salty were our choices and it was pretty filling||Wifi covers most of the B&b area .||We definitely going to be back soon trying to spend more time hanging aRound the...
