WOW!! ||||My sister and I stayed at several agriturismos during our recent Umbrian adventures, and this was hands down our favorite. Literally a castle on top of a mountain and off the beaten path, in northern Umbria about 45 min from Perugia and Assisi. Monte Valentino is surrounded by several smaller towns nearby, and is easy to find if you follow the instructions on the website. ||||Our room was the best of all the agriturismos with a small kitchen we used to make dinner after shopping at superstore Pam in nearby Gubbio. Our breakfasts were extensive, delicious, and fresh. Our hostess warmly welcomed us, and directed us to a beautiful hiking path on the way Salceto Lame. ||||Stunning landscape, and what better place to catch the sunset then when you can see it in 360 degrees? I'd love to come back when it's warm enough to use the pool.||||Monte Valentino truly epitomizes relaxation. I'll be venturing to their patio in my mind any time I need to escape the...
Read moreThis agriturismo is a wonderful place to stay if you're planning to visit the Perugia region of Italy. It is a little out of the way up a slight hill, but we made it with no problems in a small Fiat Panda. We were rewarded with some of the most spectacular views of the Perugian countryside from our patio balcony. Our room was quite large with a fully equip kitchenette and a large en-suite bathroom. The lady who owns the agriturismo is named Fabrizia and her husband is named Nicola. They both speak very good english. The main house is tastefully decorated and quite comfy and the breakfasts' consist of fresh yoghurts and croissants and hot coffee or cappuccinos It is an excellent place to use as a base for visiting neighboring towns such as Perugia, Gubbio, and Todi. Or simply to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. I would not hesitate to return here if we are visiting the same region of Italy again. Mille Grazie...
