We stayed at the Borgo Isora (www.borgoisora.com) for 8 days and would definitely recommend it. Maria is a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome and attended to all our queries immediately. The farmhouse apartment we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous and sympathetically renovated to reflect the rustic themes, charm and style of Tuscany. The views from the farmhouse are simply stunning and although we hired a car, there is a bus stop just outside the front of the accommodation; services are fairly regular and will take you to Pistoia, the main town (about 20 mins away) where you can make other connections to other cities. The accommodation is ideally located in the beautiful Tuscan hills and suitably situated for all the main cities and attractions of Tuscany including Florence, Sienna, Vinci, Pisa, Lucca, Volterra and many others... It is also best located for the many chianti wine regions and tours which are fascinating and informative. We would definitely want to stay again at the Borgo Isora and we highly recommend it if you are looking for self-catering flexibility away from the hustle and bustle of Florence and the other main cities in Tuscany. ||Patrick Barnes & Yaso...
Read moreWe have stayed at Borgo Isora for 5 nights and it felt like we were living in a small village in Italy. We arrived quite late but Maria was very helpful to call a restaurant nearby where we had the best pizza, the name is Bar Ristorante - Il Rustichello. Our apartment was beautiful and very clean. A split level apartment which was recently renovated and with all the comfort we could have hoped for. Borgo Isora has his own swimming pool with comfortable sunbeds. It is located on a mountain and about 40 minutes drive from Florence/Firenze. Also Pistoia is a nice place to visit if you like to have dinner not too far from your apartment. We really recommend this apartment if you want a quite...
Read moreLocation is super. Everything you need to unwind. Among local people giving you the real Italy experience. Local products you can buy in. Friendly service just not entirely clear how to reach them (we didn't ask either). The location is not the very best for going on excursions. You really need a car. The bus does not run regularly. And everything is just too far away to do by public transport. From town you're going to have to take a lot of hairpin turns to get there. But above all, had a wonderful experience. Pleasant houses. Nice pool. Nice surroundings. Highly recommended. For baby there was a baby bath ready....
