Currently seated at the breakfast provided by this wonderful B&B in Pistoia, Italy. We are a young couple, first time travelers to Europe, and have immensely enjoyed our one noght experience here. Wish we could stay longer!||||The shuttle from the train station, I'll warn you, is the man who works here in his black car :) But once we realized that and got in with him, everything was great. He and the woman, Roberta, who mainly run the show speak little English, but not for lack of trying. we speak little to no Italian and still we are able to communicate our needs with them and laugh and try to discuss the amazing scenery surrounding this place. IT'S BEAUTIFUL. I can't stress enough how gorgeous the place is, as well as the land surrounding. ||||Anyway we were shuttled to the B&B and served coca cola in glasses while we waited to be checked in. We also showed them on google maps where we are originally from and where we planned to move upon returning to the USA. They seemed to enjoy learning about us and why we were visiting.||||We did walk the main road a bit to look for dinner, but the seclusion offered us few choices so we ended up back here for dinner. It was amazing. Six courses, all delicious. The only thing I'll say about dinner is that we walked in, we're greeted and seated, ate, and we're bid goodnight with the rest of our bottle of wine from the meal, so we still aren't sure how much the dinner actually was, but we agree that is would be worth a nice price. If we don't post another review complaining about the prices with our meals and room combined, you can assume it was fine :)||||We slept well, very quiet guests around us, shower was clean, good water pressure, clean. Two towels each provided, very small coca cola fridge in the room, television. ||||Overall we have no complaints. The staff is energetic and engaging, the food is delicious, the rooms and grounds are beautifully kept. Well worth what...
Read morethis bb place advertise with a proud 860 rating and in deed the pic are very inviting: What we got was a crummy 2 bed room w. a small bath room, a 8x8 " TV, outdated mix and match( not Tuscana style furniture as advertised), a balcony with an electric tower house obstructing the view in front of it, their website ( which we made our selection)rooms to rent show wooden support ceilings and a beautiful bed arrangement: Since we pointed this out to the owner, he refused to accept the misleading advertisement and offered for $ 20/ night a better room. Also the old TV gave up 1 day before we were scheduled to leave: He replaced it with a larger flat screen in the time of our absence!!?? The price for the room and breakfast quality is excessive and on top the price list on the entrance door ask for $ 8 /night extra for AC: We showed him the advertising ,which says it is included and he acknowledge that. Otherwise a very charming owner and family. Made the booking w. hotel.com- booking .com. Took a lot of pic if anybody is interested to see: We were devastated; for sure,we won't...
Read moreEverything about the place is basic with an air of minimum effort from the hosts. They seem friendly but for the price we paid we expected more comfort, cleanliness and a decent breakfast (it's outright terrible). ||For example the bed is hard, the fridge is old and makes noise all through the night. Aircon is charged €8 which is unreasonable seeing as the room is already way overpriced. |Even though there was a forest fire across the field for two days with ashes floating in the air we only had the room cleaned once in four days and no change of towels. |Generally there's absolutely no service but a lot of smiling and nodding. ||I would say it's not what they are advertising online although the...
