Augusta Trulli Resort, Our first base in La Puglia: June 29.
Arriving to the resort as a bit confusing because Google give a few alternatives. When we arrived we got the beautiful first impression of this property. A expansion of land landscaped to perfection. Full of well manicured trees and shrubs surrounding the buildings and pathways. Gorgeous matured olive trees, flowers in beautiful pots and stone pathways all over the property. Nico, the son of the owner, was expecting us to do the check in and provide in very good English all the explanation of the property. A few stone buildings with second floors and terraces from were you could appreciate the plantation of vegetables, eggplants, green peppers, and herbs. The decoration of the entire place was very pretty, comfortable and inviting. The rosemary bushes shaped into perfect shape and aligned forms along all the pathways are a beautiful sight. The pool and the lounge chairs and bean bags… everything you need to relax, plus peace and quiet. Federica and her sister provided us with a delicious breakfast attending to all our needs and requirements of food and drinks. The service was also incredible as the staff including Federica and the owner were so nice and kind and really made you feel comfortable. The rooms and the decor really gave you that feeling of italian apuglian traditions, with a modern twist, as it also provided you a cool environment for those days that were just to hot to bother.
Having a dip in the pool is a must! As dragonflies and butterflies hover above, the pool was clean and had the perfect temperature.From 8:30-10:30 they serve fresh delicious breakfast. This experience really gave us the break we needed! It was truly a 'once in a life time experience'...
