We had a room in the basement that probably was a toolshed, garage or a cellar before they transformed the farm into an agriturismo. The furniture was old and we felt like we were stuck in a home for old people (toilets for elderly or handicapped people etc.). It takes about 20 to 30 minutes just to reach the main road, 45 minutes to one hour to go to Volterra. The food was tasteless and there was little choice (the lady at the reception said we could have ordered something else one day in advance but i doubt it would have been any better). The pools are nice.||||However, this place does not deserve the very high ratings it has. Why? Simple things: no air conditioning. No window in our room. Not cutting the grass near the pool. Not getting rid of the wasps' nest near the pool. Hedge cuttings piled up but not cleaned away. Food that is expensive but on the whole, just adequate - not the fantastic fare you can find elsewhere in Tuscany. We wouldn't stay here again. ||||Overall, I would say it's average but gave a poor rating because of the very high prices we were charged during the summer. For those prices, they need...
