We stayed at one of the serviced apartments as a family of six in June 2023. We opted for the apartment as we had a baby with us, and have not had much previous experience with the serviced apartment concept. The overall stay was average, would return only if they improved their cleaning.||The facilities at the resort - the golf course, the two pool areas and spa center were wonderful. The gym was the only let down, there are 5 machines (one of which is for stretching) and no weights at all. The bedding at the apartment was good and sleep comfortable. Rooms were quiet. We had separate air conditioning units in all 4 rooms. The view from the apartment was facing the golf course, so it was beautiful! Overall, the apartment was well equipped (washing machine, dishwasher, drying rack, plates and glasses in the kitchen). The internet connection was on and off, but we managed to get everything done. The hotel premises are very beautiful and well kept, wonderful blooming plants on every corner! |So plenty of positives. ||However, the cleanliness of the apartment was substandard. Since we had a nine month old with us, it became evident shortly, that the floors were unwashed - ended up washing them ourselves. The apartment does not include cleaning, but you are not provided with a vacuum cleaner, there is but one dirty broom on the balcony, that would do more harm than good. The apartment was quite the zoo, there were ants in the bathrooms (not one, but tens), spiders indoor and on the porch, spider nets. The flies were also numerous, but we could have kept the windows closed all time, since they flew in and can’t blame the hotel for that. |The staff are nice, but do not speak sufficient English. I asked where to throw our trash from the front desk, received a very short answer that we needed to take it off the resort premises (car-drive) to a location by the gate, however were not given the information that trash facilities required a pin code to enter - luckily there was the gatekeeper who gave us the password (who was the nicest person!). |The blowdryer does not work. Kitchen was awkwardly equipped - no chopping board, one very large breadknife as the only knife. ||The food on the premises is average, aperol spritz is only 6 euros. We preferred to drive off the resort for food, but there are many restaurants, tavernas in the area that served great food.|Perhaps the hotel rooms are better? Either way, would they improve on their cleaning standard, we would consider...
Read moreThe good point about this hotel is location, location, location. Beautiful surroundings, nice view, some 15 minutes away from sirmione.. But location isn't everything. I had the superior room with a single large bed.. why does it have 2 small matrasses rather than 1 big one? Why are there traces of cement in my bathroom? Why is the shower stall this small I can't even bend to wash my legs? Why is the garage for room 669 almost opposite of the room (garages are beneath the rooms). Also in the infrastructure department: why does a superior room have no table and why is in a 4star hotel the internet connection so unstable and if you get internet connectivity, it is unbearably slow? When it comes to service, I think this hotel has a lot to do to justify it's 4 stars: Breakfast buffet has almost no variation over the days, and why do I have to get my coffee by myself? Housekeeping is another sad story: I asked to have the shower head replaced because about 70% of it was clogged. They must have done something: afterwards only 70% were clogged. Housekeeping needs probably a more firm hand or a better checklist: Room had 2 AC of which 1 worked. 3 out of 5 lamps worked, the others didn't. Balcony did not see a brush in ages, the ashtray had a remaining cigarette butt inside. No bottle opener in the mini bar. Would I come back? Probably as location and view were really great and personnel mostly friendly, but they really need to...
Read moreThis was our 6th year staying at the resort. We had a great stay as usual. The service at the Clubhouse for dinner is exceptional from the Team - Nicola, Constantine and Antonio deserve a special mention, they always make dining such an amazing experience. ||Lunch was generally good, a few days short staffed but otherwise runs well. Breakfast is well stocked and plentiful, teapots for tea appreciated but please bring back the small jugs for milk to use at the table. The omelette chef this year didn’t seem to understand English or Italian and left his station quite a lot. An Italian vegetarian guest was trying to ask that that the Chef used fresh utensils to make his omelette so there wasn’t any cross contamination with any meat but this fell on deaf ears. ||We tend to use the indoor pool which is well maintained, the ladies Spa toilet could do with more cleaning checks during busy times, especially before lunch as it can get a little messy in the one loo available. Our spa treatments (nail and massage) were good. ||Reception are always really responsive to messaging regarding any questions throughout the stay. The friendly guy at the gatehouse entry didn’t complain about our Amazon book delivery when we needed to order more. Thank you for another great stay and see...
