Location|I stayed here as part of a group whilst touring on my motorbike. The house is about 10 minutes drive from the town centre. It is accessed along a single track road which snakes it's way up the valley side with breathtaking views. The bikes were parked undercover in one of the farm garages. The views from my room and most are beautiful. ||Staff|This is a family run bed and breakfast with evening meals available. We were running late, arriving after 8pm, and were met by Evelyn who manages the house with her husband and mother. She showed us where to park the bikes and ensured that we had time to shower and change before dinner. ||Rooms|My room was a single occupancy double room which gave lots of room. It was very clean with an ensuite shower. Large enough for 2 but excellent when by yourself. Free wi-fi was also available. The view along the valley was beautiful. ||My friends were in a room for 4 which again had more than enough space for them along with all their kit.||Meals|As I said we had arrived late so dinner was around 9pm. We knew that Evelyn and her mother were cooking and serving our meal but we did not expect the quality, taste and amount which was coming our way. We stared with a meatball soup which was followed by a meat and veg filled dough type samosa, I'm sure someone will know what it's correct name is but I don't. I only know it was delicious. By this time our energy levels were being replenished. We were then served the most delicious spaghetti bolognese after which we sat back our hunger pangs quelled. However and to our amazement we were then served up pork chops with potatoes before finally our desert. This was truly the finest home cooked meal I have been served and full credit to Evelyn and her mother for their ability and doing this for 5 strangers at such a late time of night. ||Breakfast came around to quickly after the previous nights dinner however again the quality and taste were the best of the trip. ||Overall|This is a family run business and their attention to service and quality shines through. Speaking with Evelyn and her husband they mentioned that during the ski season visitor prefer to stay in the nearby town. I can only say they are missing out by not staying at Agritourismo Grones. I'd be more than happy to recommend staying here and will...
Read moreI am going to start this review by stating how shocked I am at the fact that some people gave this place 1-star reviews. There is absolutely nothing about this place that would warrant the low rating, so I am going to put the 1-star reviews down to poor understanding of local culture. The location is incredible, secluded and quiet. Sure, the road that leads to it is a bit iffy, but do not be discouraged by it, as it will totally be worth the very minor trouble. Our room was simple but absolutely spotless. The wellness area was amazing - you sit in the sauna and have this amazing view over beautiful green hills and some incredible mountain peaks. We were here in spring and everything was blooming, I imagine in Winter this would be an absolute wonderland. Getting to hiking trails and ski slopes is easy and very accessible. And then, there is the food. Dear lord in heaven - the food. It was absolutely divine. A true paddock-to-plate experience. Everything is lovingly home made, from the butter to the meats. The presentation, too, was impeccable. Do yourselves a favour, go experience this absolute dream of a farm stay. You will not...
Read moreThis place was amazing. We had to drive back to the Dolomites after spending a week there because our car broke down while we were there. We were upset about having to make the 7-hour drive again, but we were absolutely thrilled when we stumbled into this wonderful hotel. This place was a dream. The rooms were perfect, comfortable, and so cute. They had a queen bed and two twin beds. The views from the windows and the balcony were stunning. The staff was so nice, and they greeted us with great hospitality and beautiful smiles. The spa services were excellent! We got to use the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi, all included with the price of the room. Now for my favorite part: the dinner was absolutely incredible. We were served a 5-course meal for only 33 euros per person. This meal was unbelievably delicious, and we enjoyed every single bite. The staff serving and cooking were just amazing and so friendly. I couldn't say enough good things about this place! We will surely stay there again the next...
