I booked this trip as a surprise for my fiancé and this was our experience of the stay at park junior hotel:
We arrived at Marco Polo airport early morning on a Sunday, and decided to take the public transport to the hotel. Bearing in mind a taxi ride costs €40.00 one way, but my partner insisted on "sight seeing" on the way. A 20 minute bus ride to Mestre and a 5 minute train journey to Quarto d'latino train station, very simple to get there. There are no taxis or public transportation from the station, ALL the hotels in the area have their own shuttle service with own transportation schedule which correspond to train times. We contacted the hotel and informed them that we have arrived at the station and they were kind enough to arrange an out of schedule time to pick us up. Note that the shuttle service costs €2.50 per person each way, they also charged us the same price when we requested to be dropped off and picked up at a restaurant near by.
We were welcomed by a kind gentleman who came to pick us up, and greeted at the hotel by Andrea who was most helpful during our stay. We got an upgrade and stayed at the honeymoon suite for the first night as it was my fiancé's birthday - and oh boy did we enjoy the room. overall we stayed in two different rooms, both VERY clean on the inside, the balconies and the chairs and tables could do with a clean but I am more fussed about the insides so didn't mind so much.
There is a charge for room service, and if you want drinks/food by the pool during day time you have to go order and bring your own food/drinks back. This is just how it is and we didn't mind it because everything else was so great.
The hotel environment is very quiet, peaceful and suburban - which was perfect for two over worked people wanting to rest and relax, and especially after a busy day of touristing in Venice and other surrounding cities.
I can't say enough about the service we received and how kind and caring all staff were to us. They go out of their way to help, gave us lots of advice on touristing and public transports and places to eat and shop etc. They were even kind enough to make us food even though the kitchen was closed.
We got the vibe that the hotel is a family owned business and they took us on as their own as we arrived and have left us with a very good experience of Italy.
We cannot thank you enough for the lovely stay we had at your hotel and we hope to visit again in the future. A special thank you to Andrea who patiently answered all of our questions and made all...
Read moreThis hotel is a 5+!! My sister and I stayed here for three nights and couldn't have been more pleased. Though the location is a bit further from the busy Venice island, the staff is more than helpful with accommodations and other recommendations. It cost 10€ to get a shuttle ride and train ticket into the city and only took 20 minutes. I preferred staying away from the chaotic center of Venice because it was so full of tourists, having a peaceful place to come back to was needed. They have an amazing restaurant on site, Ristorante Odino I believe it's named. It was obvious they took pride in the food they served and the waitstaff were wonderful, we went two nights in a row!
I really enjoyed their recommendation of a wine tasting with a castle tour, it was interesting and quite affordable being a college student. Their pool was under renovation but it was still usable and great for laying out, taking a quick dip, and drying off under the suns rays. Oh, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious! I loved eating a home cooked breakfast and sipping a morning coffee looking into a beautiful garden and occasionally seeing a peacock or two.
I believe it's family owned so you'll find a lot of familiar faces working around and they were so sweet and helpful for us since it was our first time in the area. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who's looking to enjoy their stay close enough to venice, but far enough from such a tourist hotspot. The room was spacious, clean and the large doors leading to the balcony were great. This hotel truly went above and beyond my exectations. I checked out yesterday and...
Read moreWe picked this hotel as we wanted to visit Venice but be able to come away after a day of crowds, we did 5 nights. |So if your considering the same then read ahead, the hotel staff are lovely, all of them, the owner also very nice and helpful, |There is a restaurant on site. It isn’t cheap, and was a bit to fancy for us, so we explore locally and found some (QB was very nice) so was madlys.|The train station is around a 25 min walk, which isn’t to bad, but in the heat, and after a day walking in Venice the last thing we found was wanting to walk. The transport the hotel offers is €5 a person, not to bad, but does add up , we chose to pay for everything on the day as they offer to add it to room charges for the end of the stay, trains are around €4 each way a person to Venice. There is a supermarket 2 mins away to walk, which was helpful to stock up on water ect, as the hotel prices aren’t cheap (€5 for a can of coke) , although we found nothing really is cheap around this area. |Rooms are nice, air con wasn’t cold , just brought it to a room temp, |There was one night there was a party in the grounds which we didn’t know about, which was a bit annoying, |The pool is small, more than 4 people and it’s cramped, but we only had half a day by there so wasn’t too bad for us. |Food hotel offers is decent enough if you don’t want to go out. |Overall a really nice hotel, lovely staff but not perfect but better price than some dives in Venice and close enough and easy enough to...
