Faro Sardo is a new bed & breakfast run by a Belgian owner. The house was cpmpletely renovated and opened in April 2014. There are three rooms, all with their own bathroom and their own terrace. The house and the garden are really beautiful! We found the rooms to be clean and the beds to be good.||Allthough the bed & breakfast is situated on not more than 100 metres from the seaside, you should know that there is no beach here, just rocks. Strangely enough it is even so that at the beach the roads are unimproved (na asphalt but instead a lot of holes) and also unlit. People that come here are only a few people that come fishing.||Breakfast was OK, allthough certainly not abundant.||The owner of the bed & breakfast was really helpful in giving tips for things to see and places to eat. As other people commented before, he really gave us adresses of some great places to eat! Thanks fot that!||A downside was that the Wifi connection was out of order all the time during our stay. At the arrival we were given to understand that it could be slow at times when there were more people using it at the same time, but in fact we could not use it at all because, as it later turned out, the extender broke down. ||What also could use some improvement was the maintenance during our stay. We stayed for four nights and during all this time our rooms were not looked after at all: no cleaning, no making up of the beds and no changing of the sheets. Allthough this did not bother us too much, we had better experiences at this point in other b&b's in the past.||Faro Sardi is a good bed& breakfast if you dont mind the location. From here you can go by car to the centre of Cagliari in half an hour and several beautiful beaches can be reached within...
Read more😊: Our stay at Farosardo was absolutely wonderful. It's a peaceful B&B right next to the sea, with a lovely garden. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the individual room terrace (every room has one). The location was also convenient, with some of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen a few minutes by car away. We also appreciated the care for the environment, with the conscious ban of plastic bottles, breakfast goods like eggs, bread and honey made by the surrounding neighbours and plenty of recycling options. But the best thing by far about our stay were the lovely hosts - Hugo cares a lot about his guests' wellbeing, has great tips on where to go for you every day and was ready to support with everything else we needed, be it the best route through Sardegna, a second blanket or an umbrella for the beach. Also both Hugo and Titu kept surprising us with delicious treats in the morning, with an apple cake from grandma's recipe, "golden bread" or fresh figs from the tree in the garden. Hugo also makes the most amazing orange jam I have ever tasted from the oranges harvested every winter. All in all it felt like a visit with family instead of a hotel, we felt very welcome :). 😢: The only issue we had was noise in the mornings. The room doors are not sound proof - while it was very quiet and peaceful in the night, if you prefer to sleep in and are a lighter sleeper you will likely wake up from the breakfast noises from 8am onwards, especially if the other guests get...
Read moreThis B&B is in a beautiful refurbished villa....it is modern, clean and well appointed. The breakfast is nice, however, choice is limited (its a small place so I suppose that this is understandable). Ugo is very pleasant and helpful and gave us lots of useful advice on beaches to visit and local restaurants. The house is close to a range to beaches, restaurants and nightlife....but you must have a car to visit this place.||||The negatives are few, however, there are some. The house is on an unpaved and unlit road....so it is a little difficult to find. The WIFI was very slow when we were there last year. The nearby beach is rocky.....however some locals do swim there.....if you intend to use this beach bring "crocs" or flippers!||||Overall we were happy with our stay and enjoyed this B&B......Its quiet, relaxed and cool in an...
