We spent 12 days in start september, and can highly recommend the place.

The atmosphere is quiet, calm and relaxing. With only 12 rooms, focused on adult guests, the experience is completely different from the large family-oriented alternatives. The furniture and decor is well maintained and not dated, while still staying true to the Tuscan style (as we see it at least).

The rooms are spacious and cutely decorated, with all the amenities you expect from a nice hotel.

Breakfast is simple but good, and the restaurant provides a new menu each night, and has really good local wines.

The staff is really friendly and fully available long into the evening.

We booked the spa and two massages on a rainy day, which we will recommend as well. There are steam bath, sauna, bubble bath, Turkish bath and tea and snacks, so more than 1 hour is easily spent there.

Half of the days we spend going on excursions, and the location worked really well for us. The distance to Florence is a bit of a drive (2 hours), but on the other hand it was relatively close to both Montepulciano, and Montalcino.

If we decide to go back to Tuscany, we'll definitely stay here again.

Suggestion: We never found any "Do not disturb" signs, but also didn't necessarily need cleaning and fresh sheets every day, so this...

Hallo Zusammen.

This hotel really rounded up our great trip to the Maremma area of Tuscany and we have to say we enjoyed every second here. Located just north of the lovely town of Roccastrada, the La Melosa is a peaceful and quiet hotel to stay. And it could not be more hospitable. ||||Our room (with a wee garden) was spacious enough and had a sufficiently big and well equipped bathroom. The included buffet breakfast offers a good and rich selection of locally made specialities and satifies every whim. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel offers great food, although prices appeared a tad high compared to the other restaurants in Roccastrada.||||There is plenty of free parking spaces available just a few yards from the hotel. While we only stayed for two nights, we hope to be back soon and stay a little bit longer in order to fully relish the many lovely sights and villages of the Maremma. For us the La Melosa is the ideal place to do just that, which is why it deserves...

Very nice traditional Tuscan countryside house with a restaurant and spa as well. In late spring/summer you also have available the swimming pool which is a big plus! We stayed only for one night as stop over on our way back to Florence after been by the beach in Argentario, but we enjoyed it ! We also had breakfast in their lovely small living room area and all is very well taken care of we enjoyed especially the jar of americano and the local cold cuts of crudo and finocchiona ! There is also books share section to exchange books while traveling. Rooms are big and decorated with solid quality Tuscan design furniture, the bed was super comfortable and in the morning the light through the windows and the birds singing were magical! It's ideal for some detox and recharge in nature! Thank you!
