We travel a lot and we visited many places but in Tenuta Pantano Borghese we have been two times.||||Tenuta Pantano Borghese is the beautiful place to rest. The place and wonderefull atmosphere created by the owners do not allow themselves to be forgotten. ||||We have been in Agrotourismo Tenuta Pantano Borghese two times - first time during five days about two years ago. Read moreDuring a recent family gathering near Rome, members of my extended family stayed at this wonderful farm and enjoyed a special treat out in the Italian countryside, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.||First, this place is an agriturismo, which is not a hotel. That being said, if you are looking for a luxury experience, this is not the place for you. It is a dairy farm, not unlike the experience you would get staying on an Amish farm in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, except it is better, because the city of Rome and all its attractions are so accessible and close. ||The owner, Dr. Frederico Cavazza, a descendant of the original Borghese family, is usually present on the farm, making sure your stay is as special as possible. ||The rest of the staff, also go out of their way to make your stay is a positive one. ||What a special place this. So near to Rome (a 30 min Metro ride), yet so quiet and tranquil. ||From the tree lines entrance to the centuries old barns and living quarters, this a truly special place,||That being said, it is a dairy farm, and along with the cows, associated cow odors and farm equipment, you get a real farm experience. If farms are not your thing, stick to a nearby hotel. ||Overall, my family had a wonderful experience staying here, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a country experience away...
Read moreIt was a total shock. I didn't book the place. I knew nothing about it. But when I showed up, it was a dairy farm. This was a bit discouraging after driving all over trying to find the place only to be offered cot beds. But I had to stay there three nights because it was next door to where the wedding was.||||I actually ended up loving the place. Once I realized it was not supposed to be more than a farm, I relaxed and completely took to the place. The cots were surprisingly comfortable and the breakfast was good, and a great place to talk with the others who were staying there. The swimming pool was a perfect temp and Rome was a short 20 minutes away.||||The only weird part was there was no room cleaning or extra towels unless you asked for them. And the final bill was completely in line for what is offered. Also, make sure you pick a room in advance. People were charged the same as us, yet got...
