It’s not our first time in Sardinia, but these two wonderful people, with their turtle farm, now make us dream completely of emigrating…

Loris and Marco – we believe they’ve truly made it… – even though running this oasis must be an absolute full-time job. Despite, or perhaps precisely because of, their immense dedication, they have created a place that is not only a sanctuary for animals but also for the people lucky enough to visit. These two enchanting souls have crafted a haven full of love for both people and animals, and we were treated to the most divine meals in a warm, family-like atmosphere (it is TRULY exceptional – and we are quite spoiled… ;-)

The location is also unique. In about 20 minutes, you can be in Cagliari or at the most beautiful beaches of Sardinia! If you ask Marco or Loris, you might even get some “insider” tips… we found, even in July during the high season, an almost deserted, beautiful bay perfect for picnicking and diving…

Anyone who approaches this special place with an open heart, mindfulness, and appreciation will be rewarded a thousandfold!

On our Sardinia trip, we immediately felt homesick after leaving and wanted to return… We will come back – if we may – perhaps as soon as next year!

This is a very special place where special people come together to share delicious food, lively conversation, travel adventures, new and old friendships, and love! Loris and Marco are wonderful hosts, and welcome guests directly into their circle. We had some correspondence in advance, to ascertain if La Fattoria would be a good fit for me, and Loris was very helpful and reassuring. I was looking for a retreat at a rural agriturismo, surrounded by plants and animals, with quiet and privacy, and this was perfect for me. I didn't venture out much during my week stay, but there are many opportunities within easy distance for day trips touring, sightseeing, hiking, beach excursions, and water activities. The cooking was outstanding, all fresh made, authentic, on site, a beautiful breakfast every morning (included) and often dinner (extra) in the evening, where the camaraderie around the table was wonderful and I met the most interesting people. Whatever language people spoke, we all managed to make ourselves understood and had great conversations. I hope this magical place stays exactly as it is and never changes. I would definitely...

I chose to come to Italy with my mother's live in nurse and to thank her for caring for my mother. It was her lifelong dream to go to Italy and I wanted to offer her an opportunity live amongst the Italian people, agriturismo style. Together with 3 other friends, we were a party of 5. The total immersion experience of country living, superb Sardinian cuisine, visiting with people from all over Europe, and awakening to the beautiful sound of birds provided a superb vacation for all of us. Loris is a warm, entertaining, intelligent, man with a passion for cooking and pleasing his guests. Marco is a soft hearted man who spends most of his day caring for and providing a nice life for the animals. Stephania arrives every morning and works late at night preparing and serving the magnificent 4 course dinners. She is a remarkably talented woman. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and location about 30 min from Cagliari In the opposite direction, right out of the driveway is a breathtaking scenic ride of the mountains and beaches.
