Hotel Gstatsch — Hotel in Salten-Schlern - Salto-Sciliar

We have now been here 3 years in a row, for a week around Christmas. The Hotel is in an amazing location. From the room and dinner lounge you can see the Sciliar Mountain right above, and the little village of Siusi in the valley below. In less than 10 minutes a bus takes you to Kompatsch, where you can rent skiing equipment and head for miles of wide, child-friendly pistes. You need to know the times of the bus, but if you plan properly you can stay on the slopes from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Back at the Hotel, a decent swimming pool (unlike other Hotels, this one is not overheated) and Jacuzzi allow further relaxation and fun before dinner. Dinner includes a varied and abundant salad buffet and is generally delicious. Home made cakes and biscuits are the highlight of a varied selection of foods for breakfast, including abundant fruit and yogurts.||The owners, the Gasslitter Family, and staff are all very friendly, and accommodate different needs (vegetarian, lactose-free milk).||Our time at Gstatsch has always been a very happy time for the whole family. Das Hotel Gstatsch ist ein besonders schönes und freundliches Hotel. Es ist an der Auffahrtstrasse zum Compatsch gelegen, auf einer Höhe von ca. 1500 m. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, in ruhiger Lage und haben alle einen Balkon mit herrlichem Blick zum Spitzbühl und zum Schlernmassiv mit Santner und Euringer. Die Ausstattung ist, in Abhängigkeit vom Preis, etwas unterschiedlich, aber immer gut. Der Service ist hervorragend! Dem gesamten Personal ist es ein Bedürfnis die Wünsche aller Urlauber zu erfüllen. Die Saunalandschaft ist einmalig (Trockensauna, Dampfbad, Infrarot-Kabine, Heusauna) mit sehr großzügigen Öffnungszeiten (täglich ab 15 Uhr, auf Wunsch auch früher). Whirlpool und Swimmingpool sind von großen Panoramafenstern umgeben und geben den Blick frei auf Schlern und Spitzbühl. So wird selbst das Schwimmen und Relaxen zum Erlebnis. Der Pool ist ab 7 Uhr geöffnet! Wer Halbpension hat ist sehr gut „bedient“. Das Essen schmeckt, das Salatbuffet am Abend ist vielseitig, für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Die Abendmenüs werden früh schon ausgewählt und sind immer sehr schmackhaft. Auch beim Frühstück kommt jeder auf “seine Kosten“. Man kann einfach nur genießen und wem der Nachtisch dann doch zu viel wird, wählt einen Mokka, einen Schnaps oder etwas anderes und verzichtet auf das verführerische italienische Eis oder das Törtchen, die feine Creme usw. Das Hotel ist, zumindest für Sommerwanderungen, ein guter Ausgangspunkt. Der Bus zum Compatsch (bis Saltria) hält vor der Tür und fährt 10 Minuten bis Compatsch. Die Fahrkarte ist gratis, wenn man bar bezahlt oder kostet 9.-€ für eine Woche (pro Person), wenn man mit Kreditkarte seine Rechnung bezahlt. Das Hotel ist auch ein Treffpunkt von Gleitschirmfliegern und Modellfliegern, die das Fluggelände am Spitzbühl für ihren Sport nutzen. Abends ist dann viel Zeit zum...
