In August we stayed with 2 families in Casale delle due Fonti and it has really been a perfect week. Especially because the owners are such wonderful people. Gabriella is a fantastic cook. We enjoyed everything she made even if she was not satisfied herself. And so terribly kind to make gnocchi on our request. ||Sergio is a warm, entertaining and charming host which makes having breakfast and dinner at Casale delle due Fonti extra special. We really loved listening to his stories. And his homemade limoncello is unforgettable. If you need tips for things to do in the area Sergio knows the way and is always willing to arrange it for you. ||The apartments are very spacious and comfortable although kitchen facilities are a bit limited if you want to cook yourself. Especially in the one with the kitchen cupboard. Best solution is, if your budget permits it, to have dinner prepared by Gabriella. ||The location itself is bit remote but in a beautiful area.||The real cherry on the pie is the beautiful swimmingpool area. You easily can sit the whole day watching the view while the light is changing and feel a total relaxation come over you. It was such a good experience that in fact we did not want to leave at all. Therefore we can only say one thing " A la...
Read moreMy family and I (2 adults, 2 children age 1 and 3) enjoyed a 2 week summer vacation at Casale delle Due Fonti in July 2013. || ||A lovely agriturismo with 2 modern and spacey apartments, outstanding restaurant, infinity pool (15*5 meter) on the hill side, fantastic view of the valley and the peace and quiet one could hope for. || ||Our hostess was Gabriella and Sergio. They have been the hostess since 2010 and did a splendid job. || ||The restaurant offers a 3 course set menu, at the price of 15 euro for lunch and dinner. Gabrielle is the kitchen chef and did here outmost to please our taste buds, with regional dishes from Umbria, Tuscany, Milano and Rome. Fantastic dinning including homemade pastas, lasagne, risotto, lamb, rabbit and a variety of pies, soufflés and freshly made ice cream. || ||Sergio was most helpful and his knowledge of the area and willingness to help, gave us some lovely experiences such as wine castle visit at his friends and truffle hunting. Sergio also waited on us in the restaurant, and though not the best waiter we’ve ever had, he was definitely the nicest one.||||We will definitely be back to visit this fantastic place and these...
Read moreWe stayed at a villa nearby (Podere Pamasciano) and stopped to see if we could eat here one day. Sergio could not have been kinder so we went the next day for lunch. Sergio took care of us in the most wonderful way. Gabriella cooked us a delicious, fresh and tasty meal. We saw the kitchen, were invited to stay and use the pool, and then Sergio offered us limoncello with him.
In this busy world, it is rare to find such hospitality. A visit here is to truly understand what hospitality is. Thank you very much Sergio and Gabriella....
