Read moreWe chose Poggia Santi because its site promises “luxury” in the english version and Booking.com bills it as a “Boutique Hotel – Adults Only.” Paying €1 300 for two nights, we expected genuine high-quality. What we actually found was an agriturismo with a few premium touches.|What we enjoyed|• Bungalow & bathroom – Tasteful décor, and the bathroom is truly superb.|• Dinner staff – Warm and professional.|• Homemade products – Excellent house-baked bread and their own olive oil are definite highlights.|• Setting – Lovely gardens and sea view create a very relaxing atmosphere. Nice swimming pool area.|• Dogs friendly|What let us down|• Dust-track arrival – Access is a long, unsurfaced farm road; our car finished the trip looking like it had crossed the Sahara, and a 4×4 is clearly mandatory. No hint of this when booking.|• Value versus price – At €650 per night we expected top-tier service:|• Mussels were “sold out” at dinner, then reception implied we’d misheard.|• Cocktails were far too strong. We asked to switch to wine—of course we still paid in full, but the bartender could at least have offered to adjust the drinks.||• Housekeeping – The room looked fine at first glance, but cleaning was only middling: lots of dust in corners and on surfaces—certainly not luxury standard.||Poggia Santi could shine if it branded—and priced—itself as an up-graded agriturismo instead of a luxury hotel. Right now, the marketing sets expectations the property can’t meet at €1 300.||This feedback is shared solely to help improve the guest...

(We had to change rooms, but the hotel made it all so seamless and efficient, we hardly noticed)
All the guests and staff were so respectful and quiet (massively helps they have a no children policy!)… the whole area from dining to relaxing by the pool, was just that, relaxing!
Every direction you look there are amazing panoramic views, which gets you grabbing for your camera!
The breakfasts, lunches and dinners (two options of restaurants) are so unbelievably good. All the food is either locally sourced or homegrown on their farm.
We stayed in one of the ‘glamping tents’. With its own private pool and kitchen facilities, it was a private retreat, within the hotel grounds. The views, interior design and cleanliness were all of the highest quality…. It took a night to adjust to the ‘natural’ outdoor noises, but hey, it’s camping (kinda!)
Honestly, I can’t rave about this hotel anymore… and again, why on earth the 3...
