Residence Miljunka — Hotel in Sant'Agata di Militello

We stayed at Miljunka for one week. The room was a suite with a kitchenette and basic furnishings. The air conditioning was sufficient, and there is a sensor that disables all AC when an exterior window or door is opened. We started each day with their complementary continental breakfast, which featured a selection of delicious croissants, cereal, yogurt, coffee to order, and some sliced ham and cheese.||The location is close to an array of nice restaurants, when you exit from the front, turn left and walk a few hundred km. (Skip La Fenice and keep walking.) The menus feature mostly seafood, with some restaurants only having a steak or pasta with tomato sauce as an alternative.||We received excellent service at Miljunka, and the reception staff were excellent, from checking us in and orienting us, to helping arrange excursions, to recommending restaurants. They even started breakfast early for us one morning when we they found out we would be leaving for an adventure earlier than breakfast time. They are very close to the boat tour companies that take you to nearby islands. The train station is very close, within 100-200km.||The beaches just outside the hotel are beautiful to look in the morning and early evenings at but not great for hanging out. They are operated by bars and they have services like umbrellas. We didn't find the bars to have great services but that is something outside of hotel control. You can ask for beach towels at the hotel. That said, if you have a car, some beautiful beaches are within driving distance. The hotel also gives you free parking. ||We would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking to save money, be centrally located to driving destinations with 1-2 hours away and as pleathora of restaurants for evening meals. I have stayed her twice now, once for a night in summer 2009 and this time for 4 nights. We have rooms with sea view balconies. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and quite high tech. They have kitchens and a dining table and sofa in the living room area. The bedrooms have armoire, bed, tv, bedside tables. The breakfast is typical of Italian hotel buffets. ||||The staff is very helpful. Teresa is fluent in English and was so helpful with questions, directions, suggestions on towns to visit nearby and where to eat, etc. The other front desk staff was helpful too. ||||You can easily walk across to the beach and over to the beach front bars from here. You could walk into the main part of town in about 10 minutes. It is a good and inexpensive location for visiting the sites in the area while staying on the beach in a quaint little town. There are quite a few shops on Via Campadoglio. ||||We had them do our laundry. Just a note, they only wash. They give you a drying rack for drying your clothes. La struttura è molto più bella dal vivo che dalle foto, le camere sono spaziose e luminose,il bagno pulito e con tutto quello che si necessita per un soggiorno anche lungo. Le pulizie vengono eseguite tutti i giorni con cambio asciugamani giornaliero e cambio lenzuola ogni 3 giorni.devo dire che ho sempre trovato tutto pulito e in ordine. Noi abbiamo soggiornato per 11 notti con formula hotel colazione inclusa. La colazione era a buffet con cornetti di ogni gusto, frutta ,cereali, succhi,marmellata, miele , burro , cioccolato con piccoli panini sempre caldi che mio figlio ha apprezzato molto. Le ragazze al bar sempre molto disponibili con cappuccino caldo,caffè e perfino mia figlia che è intollerante al lattosio è riuscita a fare tutti i giorni una buona abbondante colazione. Il mare con spiaggia libera è a 30 metri circa dalla struttura quindi molto comodo per chi non riesce a stare tutto il giorno in spiaggia. Il mare è pulito e l'acqua chiara sempre piena di pesciolini. C'è un lido privato a pochi metri ma onestamente non ci siamo mai andati perché la struttura ci ha messo a disposizione lettini e ombrelloni senza nessun costo aggiuntivo fino ad esaurimento,ma in 11 giorni li abbiamo sempre trovati , quindi un bel risparmio per chi soggiorna al residence miljunka. La reception è aperta fino alle 23:30 sono sempre molto disponibili soprattutto la Signora Donatella, gentile e molto familiare,ci ha organizzato un tour per le isole dandoci tutte le informazioni necessarie dove abbiamo potuto confrontare tratta e prezzi di più compagnie e pagare direttamente in struttura. Una sera abbiamo avuto un problema con la chiave magnetica erano quasi le 00:30 problema creato da noi per una distrazione ma appena abbiamo chiamato alla reception nonostante fosse chiusa in pochi minuti sono arrivati risolvendo il problema con una disponibilità e gentilezza unica. cos'altro dire?? .... Ah si ... siccomme avevamo deciso di andare via qualche ora prima per una questione di orari nostra ci è stata anche data la disponibilità di avere i soldi indietro dell'ultima colazione che non siamo riusciti a fare, questo credo sia il massimo della serietà. Per ultima cosa la posizione del residence è ottima per chi vuole visitare sia Messina che Palermo situata praticamente al centro delle due città . Noi infatti siamo riusciti a visitare Palermo, Cefalù,Messina, Taormina e l'isola bella in più il tour con imbarco a capo d'Orlando 20 minuti in macchina Dal residence.per chi arriva senza macchina c'è la stazione ferroviaria a 5 minuti a piedi. Conclusione della mia recensione venite non Ve ne pentirete . P.s.in molte recensioni ho letto dei schiamazzi notturni,bene effettivamente trovandosi praticamente sul lungomare dove ci sono ristoranti (andate almeno una volta da Tano) e localini che di sera prendono vita è normale sentire musica e voci che arrivano da essi ma siccome le camere sono dotate di aria condizionata basta chiedere le finestre e il problema viene risolto con un minimo di comprensione visto il luogo turistico.
