Important to mention - the hotel is a 4 not a 2* as can be seen on places online
We arrived a bit late in the evening as as we were taking out bags up the stairs into the lobby we were greeted by a very prominent " Buona Sera! " (Good evening) accompanied by a warm welcoming face. Marco (who we later found out is the director of the property) was one of the hilights of our stay!
The room was spacious, had a little terrace with tables and chairs. Fully equipped with all amenities you may need during your stay.
Bathroom was roomy and was recently renovated. Also includes a bidet.
Breakfast was all you could desire - hams, salami, chees, eggs, salads, cereals and a large variety of cakes (do try the lemon and orange cakes!). Seating was inside the hotel or outside by the lemon and citrus tree garden.
The best part of waking up for breakfast... I'm not kidding... Marco's "Buon Giornos" and his coffees ... Once you finish your coffee you will see him table side, smiling and eager to make you another to kick start your day.
Our holiday was mainly to the Amalfi coast but didn't find any issue staying here. Sorrento is just a 3 minute bus ride away (1 euro per person) or 1 stop by the Circumvessiuviana train. We were worried about not staying in Sorrento at first buy once there, this was not at all an issue.
Straight down from the hotel, there is a lovley belvedere offering one of the best amalfi susnets.
Will we stay here again? YES.
Thank you Marco for your amazing...

They had changed ownership. The new staffs are not as sincere as the previous ones. But still they had tried their best.
But you will be lucky if it's your first time visiting here since you can't compare.
It was my second time staying here, but it is not as happy as what I had experienced 3 years ago.
The new manager Marco was extravagantly nice when he first greeted me, but a few days later, he became impatient and cold until my check out. Maybe due to the hard job. When I mentioned about the previous manger Paola, whom made my last trip unforgettable, Marco ‘s attitude turned worse after that. Maybe they had problems.
My experience 3 years here was exceptional, this time is more disappointing, the cleaning boy didn’t do the job well and looked unhappy working there.
But one star for the older gentleman who prepared the breakfast, he is very nice.
The walls of room is very thin, a couple sleeping next to me were making very loudly noice and they were shaking the walls like earthquake.
When I checked out, I tried to say thank you but Marco’s attitude looked like he wanted me to leave ASAP, which was completely opposite as we first met.
I think won’t be back...
Read moreThe hotel is clean and modern, looks like it was recently built or refurbished. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and Marco deserves a special mention as he is there all day, ready to help with a cheerful and friendly manner, and nothing is too much trouble. He booked our return transfer for us and provided plenty of advice on places to go. |It's only a five minute walk from the Sant Agnello train station, and around a 25 minutes walk to the centre of Sorrento, although alongside a busy road there are footpaths for the majority of this. |Breakfast is provided, with cereals, cakes, bread, cheese, eggs and cold meats and fresh fruit and yoghurt, plus Marco makes superb cappuccinos!||Oh and the bed was nice, room with a balcony view inland to the mountains, a very nice shower and lovely soft water||We would definitely stay here again.
