A true home away from home! I've had the best time at Casa Lawa during my first visit in 2022, which will definitely not be the last time. The unbelievable location, on the Etna and overlooking the ocean, as well as the authentic house and amazing furniture (the beds!) and art inside make it a special destination. As they say, save best for last, because this all wouldn't have been as good without Lukas as your host. He is the best in making you feel home, treating you with delicious food and he gathered a lovely crew of people who help in and around Casa Lawa. From the gardener to his kitchen residents, it's been all beautifully real and inspiring encounters. Read moreThe overall stay was pleasant, with comfortable rooms and beautiful surroundings. However, the service from the owner or manager was disappointing. We were offered a complimentary lunch from the pasta course, which we accepted despite not attending the course.
Unfortunately, when we checked out, we were charged for the entire pasta course, which amounted to 100 euros per person. We attempted to complain or at least speak to the manager, but he was unavailable and didn’t respond to our emails. This experience left a negative impression and made me hesitant to recommend this establishment.
