My boyfriend and I stayed at the Hotel Villa Conestabile for one night in August 2005 with his daughter and niece.|We had returned to stay at the Conestabile after enjoying two superb meals there in August 2004.|However, at check in, I discovered to my horror that the restaurant was closed on Saturdays and Sundays! I hadn't checked when I booked... I just assumed the restaurant would be open!|Thankfully, the hotel was able to recommed a restaurant just a couple of hundred yards up to road, which was of a high standard.||The hotel itself is wonderful - a beautifully restored / maintained villa with original frescoes, marble floors, antique furniture, magnificent modern bathrooms and stunning pieces of Venetian glass - it is worth splashing out on.|Also definitely worth splashing out on is insect repellent - and lots of it!! The beautifully landscaped gardens spreading out from the terrace are a magnet for mosquitoes - make sure you get plenty of repellent on before venturing outdoors.|The rooms are beautiful, the hotel is the stuff of dreams, and the staff are marvellous - the guy who served us our food last year recognised us this year.||Thoroughly recommended for those wanting a taste of old-style...
Read moreThe villa is amazing, very beautiful and incredibly charming. Lovely park surrounding it.||Decor is very tasteful. Wood panels, chandeliers, some beautiful antique pieces of furniture. Fire burning in the fireplaces.||Incredibly relaxed atmosphere. Feels more like staying at someone's countryside house than a hotel. Very quiet. ||Breakfast buffet was nice, continental. ||Free Wi-Fi in common areas and lounges (no signal in room).||Village is not very interesting or remarkable, it's really all about the property.||It's 30 minutes drive from Venice Airport or Venice town. But it can take a lot longer if not familiar with the road, it's quite a challenge to find Scorze' as there's almost no road...
Read moreWe stayed at this beautiful Villa which has been run as a hotel by Bruna, Bethy, Mario and their family.||||We were 32 in our party and the event was a birthday party with cocktails and canapés, a sit down dinner followed by dancing until late.||||Marios's help in organising this black tie event was excellent and we would recommend this hotel as a perfect location to hold a special event.||||Scorzeè is perfectly located to travel to Venice in 40 minutes on the bus with the bus stop only a two minute walk from the hotel.||||Memorable rooms, some with original fresco's and all of them carefully furnished with antique furniture in keeping with the history of the Villa (but also manages to include air...
