Sestriere Skiing Hill — Hotel in Sestriere

Fair ski resort. i have never been on lifts that were so slow. 1 bubble gondola, many long drag lifts which is off putting for the boarders. No kids fun park. no way to ski from the gondola back into sestriere. the blue piste was closed. I can easily ski 55-7-km a day, but the lifts at this resort hampered that with us only achieving around 30-35km most days. Milky way may have 400km of pistes but you...

Plenty of good runs for intermediate/ advanced skiers. Lots of juicy blacks and reds for experienced skiers! The lifts are much older and slower than those in France but still do the job. Not very busy at all which is fantastic, no queues for lifts and plenty of space on the piste. Fantastic restaurants on slope, good selection for vegetarians like me.

Not recommended for beginners as not many green...

The skilifts are old and slow in general. Several good slopes were closed for ski-school, every day. When it’s not much snow the transports between the systems takes a long time because they don’t fill out with snowcanoons so you have to take the lift down. French side better that way.
