This place is truly wonderful, Hidden away on the outskirts of Siena. It sits on an impeccable piece of land with a beautiful pool. Fig trees, olive trees and Tuscan hills surround you. ||We stayed in the Roseto home. Large for my wife and three kids. The rooms were spacious, high ceilings. Large windows. ||the bathrooms, impeccable. the only weakness found was the wi-fi. But nobody complained except the kids. ||the grounds were secure, quiet and pleasant. Chickens, ducks and turkeys kept the kids interested and if you were nice, the grounds keeper Tizano would even allow you to feed them. ||The owner MariAngela was quite helpful for us. Her English is not too good but she can communicate well in French and of course Italian. She does give you some good advice about the local places of interest and Siena. All in all we spent 12 days there and hated to leave. ||We were also able to some of the other available rooms and suffice it to say.....BEAUTIFUL. ||The location is very close to Rocco a Pilli village ( I think it was called ). There you could find a large grocery store and a great pastery shop. No, you cannot walk there as the streets are not made for walkers in Tuscany. If you wanted to drive 10 minutes you had all you needed near Siena. ||Siena's Porta San Marco is a 12 minute drive and easy to get to.||You are also 8 minutes away from Italy's main highways and 45 minutes to Florence. ||We will consider getting a larger group together and renting more rooms here in the upcoming years. It was that...
Read moreStayed with my wife for two nights.||||The location is fantastic - a quiet countryside with toscan lanscape pouring from all over, yet just 10 min drive from Siena and the freeway to Firenze - in the center of toscany (chianty to the north, montepulciano to the south and san-geminiano to the west).||The farm is beautiful with variuos fruit trees surrounding the farmhouses and the spotless swimming pool.||The owner is extremely friendly (almost over friendly...) but allas - she doesn't speak English, only Italian and French (we managed with my broken french)||||Our room was a bit rustic (haven't seen other rooms or apartments) and the bathroom appliances are a bit odd, but yet efficient and very clean.||||The only drawback is the price/value. it is a bit pricy, more than average, yet the price does not include breakfast. moreover - the owner invited us to the dining room for breakfast while it was never mentioned that breakfast is extra at 8 Euro per person.||BTW - the breakfast itself is very good with a rich buffet, eggs made to your liking, and homemade cakes and jam.||||Other than that - it is a wonderful place...
Read moreWe stayed here for 5 nights following stays in Pisa, Cinque Terre, Florence and Lucca. We wanted a tranquil setting where we could chill and that is exactly what we got. We had a one bedroom apartment which had a small well equipped kitchen with sitting room, lovely bedroom and great shower in the large bathroom. Most important we had a veranda where we ate our breakfast every morning looking at the beautiful plants that surround the place, and listening to the birds. The pool looked lovely and tempting but we never seemed to have time to use it as we were out every day exploring the towns of Tuscany which are in easy reach by car and even bathing in one of the many natural therme rivers. Wonderful...
