Amazing experience, as always.|Corte Guastalla has truly become a second home for us. Every summer we travel to Italy to visit my family and use Corte Guastalla as our home base. We’ve stayed on every floor, from the lofted third floor to the spacious second-floor family apartment, down to the ground floor with garden access.||The location is perfect for us. Close enough to the city, yet quietly nestled in the beautiful hills of Custoza and Sommacampagna. It’s also very convenient to reach Lake Garda or nearby amusement parks if you’re traveling with family.||The grounds are immaculate. The garden is beautiful, and our daughter loves the swing on the tree and the pool.||The apartments are extremely comfortable. The beds are amazing, the appliances are modern, and there’s everything you need to cook. The bathrooms are well maintained and thoughtfully designed.||The underground garage is perfect, with plenty of space and a cool temperature during the summer months. There’s even an elevator, which comes in handy when you’re bringing up luggage or groceries.||The owners are absolutely lovely and always available to help, whether it’s an extra blanket, a different pot, a water kettle, or something for the kids. They also offer daily cleaning and maid service, so you come back each day to what feels like a brand-new home.||I couldn’t recommend it more. Part of me wants to keep it a secret just to make sure we can still find availability for our future...
Read moreIt’s not cheap and there’s no lunch or supper, so maybe this is more a four and three quarters - but what a lovely, relaxing and just utterly at home feeling, thanks to the ever helpful and smiling Orieta and the overall ambience that both she and the villa exude. |It feels as if you are at home in a villa with lovely grounds and only six guest rooms and minimal interaction with staff (in a very good and perhaps unique way).|Breakfast is delightful out on the tree shaded grass. The pool is great, with more than enough loungers. The ‘trust’ system for taking wine helps you feel at home and grown up, as does the free fridge full of waters (with more in the room). Bedroom large airy clean comfortable. Shower excellent. Bed excellent. Help from smiling staff always at hand, should you want to go get it. |Drawbacks are that you need a car (finding the villa is very easy) because lunch and dinner are off site (but you get a very helpful list of local eateries and can’t really go wrong anyway); and also that the ground by the pool seemed a bit water logged, not sure if that was due to rain or pool overspill, but either way it may have been partly responsible for quite a lot of bugs (or, maybe that was just because it’s Italy in summer). |Anyway, if you want to go relax and have the option to tour a bit in Verona and Lake Garda, this is...
Read moreDear Orietta and family ||||We wanted to first of all thank you for another amazing stay at your beautiful Relais! ||||It again exceeded our expectations! We had such a wonderful & memorable time, this time with my family. ||||We really enjoyed having our breakfast under the trees as the weather was so lovely and warm. The pancakes at breakfast were a bit hit with our family!! So light & fluffy! 😁 And as we had our nephew with us who is only 4 he really enjoyed having the space he needed to run around and play in your extensive gardens & park! We felt like we were the only people there sometimes even though there were other guests staying. It was just the perfect ambience so peaceful and relaxing.👌 ||||You were so kind to extend to us the use of one of your rooms outside of our stay period so we could use the pool and shower and change on the day of our departure. We appreciate it very much. ||||We will definitely be returning soon! Look forward to seeing you...
