Stayed here for only two nights on our recent trip and wish we had more time at this outstanding Agriturismo. Charming house with relatively simple but up-to-date, spacious and clean bedrooms, beautiful gardens and a big swimming-pool (which was just being cleaned and filled for the season). In the immediate vicinity, vegetables and fruits are grown, the wonderful city of Siracusa is just a few minutes drive away. Other nearby points of interest we visited: the nature reserve Vendicari, the Necropole of Pantalica and the baroque town of Palazzolo Acreide.||||The place is apparently run by a very nice and welcoming lady, ready to give all kind of recommendations for enjoying the region, and some maids always friendly and helpful. Even the maid cleaning the room spoke English very well and was happy to give recommendations for the area. My wife forgot her Kindle under her pillow as we left and it arrived back home by post only a day after us! Home made marmelade jams and cakes for breakfast, the dinners were very good (and plentiful) Italian home-cooking. Excellent value for money and perfect atmosphere for a family-stay.||We would certainly return to Pozzo di Mazza when in the region again. One of the best and athentic agriturismos we have...

Good air con, fridge. We had a private outdoor garden(room 11) and all units seemed to have a terrace of some sort. Copious and varied breakfast buffet.|Dinner 25€ for set meal of 4 courses including wine which was very good value, home cooked, local and plenty of it.|The hostesses were very attentive, catering for a non cheese eater(!) also.|We borrowed bikes at no extra cost -though not sure if the roads warrant it.|Locally- Arenella beach is busy but ok- nothing great.|Fontanel Bianche beach also, but we visited on a weekend and it was packed. Also both were mostly covered in commercial Lidi with no walking space.|Noto was in striking.|A great find and exceptionally cheap...
Read moreThis is one of the best Agritursmi we have stayed at. Warmly welcoming, friendly owner and staff, a beautifully serene setting with lovely garden and incredible pool, perfectly kept. The room was wonderful and cool, with air con if needed. Breakfast was wonderful with freshly baked fruit cakes such as lemon and mint, along with a range of fruit, bread, cold meats. Then the feast for dinner just kept getting better, course after course, with great local wine included, in the open courtyard area: such an amazing experience each evening. |All within 20 minutes drive to Ortigia or 10 minutes to the lovely little rocky coves of Ognina. |I cannot thank the Agriturismo enough for such a...
