A stay worthy of 5 stars! We had planned two weeks on sardinia, but after 4 nights at Lu Salconi, we already felt so relaxed that it seemed as if we had been relaxing for weeks. This beautiful place is extremely peaceful, with an amazing view that might take a bit of sandy road to reach, but that is something you get used to after the first time.
The service is impeccable, daily cleaning, a lunch to go service (incl. Cooling bag) and two options for dinner. We chose the less extensive option twice, which was delicious without getting more than we could've finished. Local produce served attractively and every time, it was delicious. The carafe of wine and the mirto after was equally delicious. The same can be said for the breakfast, which had great yoghurt options.
The staff was very friendly and spoke perfect English, meaning that my wife, who does speak Italian, did not have to be my translator for a change.
We did miss a proper espresso machine. A mokka is okay in the morning, but after dinner, you just miss the proper espresso. But you can not have it all, and with Zulu the dog running around, an amazing view, a comfortable room, and terrace, we felt quite content.
There are plenty of beaches within a 30 min drive and also several cute villages where you can do some shopping.
Some of the other guests seemed to be kite surfing enthusiasts, not something we tried. But had we had more time, I'm sure we would've found even more to do in this...
Read moreThis place is a true gem. We visited in late September and were the last guests of the season, but we couldn’t have been made more welcome. The family are so friendly and the location is spectacular. Our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was a selection of bread, cakes, ham, cheese, homemade yogurt and very good coffee. The (optional) dinners were not fancy but very traditional, tasty and plentiful. I was a bit concerned on the first night as the menu was nothing I would have chosen myself, but I am very glad I was ‘forced’ to have it - the Parmigiana and the seadas were fantastic. The wine (made by a cousin of the owner) was also very good, and all included in the very reasonable price (€25 including 3 courses and drinks). I would have loved to try the suckling pig menu so I think we will have to come back another time ‘in season’ and book...
Read moreWe had a very very nice stay here. Best B&B we’ve ever been to. Such a nice, friendly and warm family. Nice and very clean typical Italian room. And the view you have from the terrace is priceless. The first night we had diner there. It was a holiday (August 15th) and they were about to cook for 30 people (from in the neighbourhoud), and we joined. It was a traditional menu (typical food from Sardinia) and it was so delicious, all fresh and homemade. We really enjoyed every dish of the menu. Eating this food with the fabulous view (sunset) was just amazing. The breakfast was really nice, a lot of homemade products too (marmelade, honey, sweets, ..). We also bought the wine we were drinking during our diner, it was made by family of them. We really recommend this B&B to everyone who is...
