Hotel Karinhall Trento — Hotel in Territorio Val d'Adige

Despite some difficulties with us having no Italian and the hosts having little English, we were able to have some wonderful conversations via our translate app. Our hosts. a local family, were excellent and the food was wonderful in their restaurant. The local wine was too good and we drank more than our share I'm sure. The room was very large and we were given an adjoining room as an extra at no additional charge so we could spread out. The suite was very clean and serviced each day to a very high standard. The hotel had panoramic views over the mountains and the valley. We enjoyed these from both our room's balcony and from the restaurant. It was located within easy driving or cycling distance of mountains, city (Trento), rivers and lakes. It is a good hotel for tranquility and isolation but no facilities are existing nearby (supermarket, restaurants, shops, information office etc).Family run property south to Mattarello. Good attitude and data support. However I received a tiny room (maybe for booking?) at about 14sqm size and at rear side less impressive view while the hotel seemed to be not fully occupied. It seems that you do not need an external restaurant since the property includes a restaurant and locals visited it as a such. The view from dining room is magnificent. It could be much better to have a bigger room size and front side view. No problem in parking place and WiFi was OK and with sufficient electricity wall plugs. Stayed one night: beautiful place in the valley, in the middle of vineyards. Family-owned guesthouse - 3 stories (but with elevator!), 6x rooms, with restaurant/bar + covered terrace on the ground floor with scenic views. Rooms are basic: but you have everything you need for a stopover. Good shower. Restaurant/pizzeria is great (a lot of locals were dining with us) especially pizzas, but quite expensive + coperto fee per person. Breakfast is nice: fresh home made bread and pastries with excellent italian espresso! We also tried their local wine and even bought a bottle to bring home.
