The Castello was the unforgettable and beautiful setting for our wedding. Words can't express what a magical weekend we had staying here with our friends and family to celebrate our wedding. The rooms are beautifully decorated with breathtaking views across the surrounding countryside. The top floor apartments have been renovated with such sympathy to the history of the Castello while at the same time offering luxury throughout. We staying in the honeymoon suite (Sposi Suite), our room had an enormous reception room with stunning frescos and access to the terrace which felt like standing on the bow of a ship sailing through the gorgeous rolling hills of Marche. The grounds are well cared for and make the perfect backdrop to a magical castle. Orlando and Kira (the owners) couldn't have been more accommodating and ensured that our wedding day was one we would never forget, every step of the way they where there making sure that our day was without fault, we cannot thank them enough. I know that all of our guests had a truly special weekend and would return in a heartbeat. I thoroughly recommend this hotel for any special occasion or a holiday in a beautiful setting. From the hilltop location of the Castello Di Monterado we where able to explore all that the wonderful region of Marche has to offer, this really is the hidden gem in Italy's impressive arsenal of wonders. The food is without comparison, the tourists are few and far between and the beaches are long bountiful. Senigallia and Fano (the nearest towns) are full of history, bars, and restaurants that will keep you wanting to come back again and again. If you want to treat yourself to the best Italy has to offer, no matter if its just the two of you or 100 of your closest friends and family, stay at the Castello Di Monterado. Thank you...
Read moreWe were driving around the vineyards having no reservation for the night. Searched a bit, looking for something not too touristic and preferably with a pool. Couldn’t have stumbled over anything better than the Castello. A warm welcome by what turned out to be the current owner and mastermind behind the tasteful refurbishment. We got a room in the recently expanded part with direct access to the garden and pool area. We opted for dinner in the bar in the evening, a good choice and well presented local wines accompanied the meal. The breakfast the morning after, on the sunny roof terrace overlooking the landscape was absolutely delicious. Very well composed with a large range of alternatives. The freshly squeezed orange juice (some of the first oranges of the season) was a delight. We were allowed to stay by the pool throughout the day also after check out and it was absolutely no problem to keep towels and have a shower in the dressing rooms before leaving. A historic gem with a lot of atmosphere. Tastefully refurbished and with all modern comfort you need. Don’t leave Marche...
Read moreCastello Di Monterado has lived up to all expectations.|A beautiful place to stay. Quiet, well-kept, beautiful garden with swimming pool.|The corridors and the various rooms in the castle bathe in a nostalgic atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and very clean. There is also an attractive courtyard (to have a drink or enjoy dinner). Also note the chapel!|Also positive words for the sublime breakfast. If the weather is good, you can enjoy breakfast on two lovely terraces. The food (evening) is delicious and as far as we are concerned there is more than enough choice to dine there a number of times. Biggest asset, however, are Orlando and Kira (owners) and their staff. It's fantastic how they treat their guests. Friendly, helpful and always with a smile! They are also open to any suggestions to make it even better. I will never forget that Orlando told us on the first night: "here you are not a number".|Castello Di Monterado is definitely one of those hotels to go back to. We sincerely hope...
