Rifugio Burigone — Hotel in Unione Comuni Garfagnana

5/5 stars The view around the rifugiois amazing, it is about 20 minutes walk from San-Pellegrino in Alpe, so a good place to stay if you plan on hiking this part of the Grand Italian Trail (Sentiero Italia). The Rifugio was clean, with a shower with hot water and 2 toilets attached to each room (not a given in a rifugio). The staff and hosts were super friendly, even though I was the ONLY guest, the dinner was delicious, and the breakfast was very nice.

They don't really speak English, but I still managed.

Would have definitely returned there given...

Ho partecipato al weekend "Yoga e Natura" organizzato il 15/16 settembre 2018 ed è stato tutto perfetto. All'arrivo siamo stati accolti da Carla che ci ha fatto sentire subito "come a casa". La camerata era perfetta, pulita e il profumo del legno rispecchiava benissimo l'ambiente montano. Nel pomeriggio, dopo un'escursione sul crinale, abbiamo fatto una bella lezione di Yoga all'aperto e per concludere bene la giornata abbiamo cenato con i deliziosi piatti preparati dallo chef Alessandro (con variante Vegetariana ottima!). Il mattino seguente, apriamo la porta della camerata e siamo travolti dal profumo della torta appena sfornata, ma prima dovevamo fare la seconda e ultima lezione di Yoga al sorgere del sole...stupendo! Arriviamo a far colazione e il nostro tavolo era imbandito di tante cose...pane, marmellata, miele, biscotti, yoghurt, spremute di frutta, caffè, latte, the e ovviamente la favolosa torta! Dopo aver recuperato tutte le energie con un'abbondante colazione, siamo andati a fare un'altra bella escursione lungo il crinale e siamo ritornati al rifugio per mangiare nuovamente le delizie dello chef. Dopo qualche oretta passata a riposare sul verde prato del rifugio, siamo purtroppo dovuti ripartire per tornare a casa. Un weekend stupendo, in un luogo stupendo, dove si percepisce la passione che la signora Carla ci mette nell'accogliere e nel soddisfare le esigenze dei suoi ospiti. Complimenti a tutto lo staff del Rifugio Burigone...continuate così.

ATTENZIONE Per raggiungere il rifugio non seguite le indicazioni di Google maps. La strada corretta è quella che viene indicata dai cartelli gialli presenti nel paese di San Pellegrino in Alpe.

The Rifugio is 2.8km from San Pellegrino. You can walk, or you can go by car, but be aware that this is a mountain road of small rocks. We went only for lunch, so I cannot comment on the rooms. The view from the rifuio is amazing. It is very peaceful there. The food is homemade cousine, and what we had was delicious. The menu is basic, meaning that you have a choice of 2 primi and 2 secondi. As they say in the welcoming poster, this is not masterchef,...
